According to my grandson the noise cancellation is perfect, transparency mode is perfect, however 1 year of use the device frequently turns itself off and must be restarted after 30 - 60 seconds. According to Apple this is known issue however the solution is unresolved.

I’ve owned these headphones for about 4 months now and I really enjoy using them. Granted the headphones are expensive, but the quality and the sound greatly makes up for it. All in all there great headphones but you do feel the wait when you wearing for extended periods of time. Also these headphones don’t burn battery like people say they do they have great battery life.

I’m impressed by the amazing sound quality in these over the ear headphones, almost better than in-ear-monitors! Soundstage is immersive, low end is solid and highs are not harsh or uncomfortable even at higher volumes. Apple knocked it out of the park with this product…absolutely amazing quality. They look amazing, high quality craftsmanship and the feeling is comfortable even at longer listening intervals.

Bought them for my son for Christmas. We all tried them he is so happy about the quality. They are sound blocking and can turn that feature off as well. Excellent design and quality as expected from apple worth the money and better than beats. The battery lasts forever according to my son and he uses them all the time.

I went back and forth on these for a year before I bought them. I decided to give them a shot when they were on sale for $430. I bought them with the very idea that I might return them. A month later...I love them. If you are in the Apple Ecosystem...they are awesome. Transparency and Noise Cancellation modes are next level. They are better than the AirPods Pro in that regard. BUT. I would not wear them on the move while walking in the city. I would be afraid I would get mugged. They stand out. I would not wear them while going for a run. Too heavy. Frankly...between these and the pros are better overall. I use them while I work at my desk and when I want to watch a movie by myself. They sound AMAZING. Even at $430...I feel like they were about $100 more than I wanted to pay. But they are SO NICE.

The Apple AirPods Max are an indulgent choice, but for those who prioritize high-quality sound, comfort, and the Apple ecosystem, they’re hard to beat. If you are an audiophile that can sacrifice a little quality by having no wires, then go for these. The sound on these and features are second to none for wireless headsets. If you just want to show off that you own these, then buy a knockoff or look-alike, plenty out there for cheap. I've been using these for a few months and they seem sturdy and well made, very comfortable.

These things rock. Okay the case and the cord or lack of is the drawback, but I think the build quality and the sound is top notch. I thought long and hard about this purchase, trying the both the Sony and the Bose. The build quality, the replaceable cups and the sound does it for me. They are heavier than the other brands, but more comfortable. Price point was higher than I wanted, but found a sale and had certificates I needed to use, lessening the blow to my wallet. Works seamlessly in the Apple environment.

Sound is fantastic, and the noise cancelling is on-par if not better than Bose/Sony. They are a seamless part of the apple ecosystem, switching between devices automatically and instantly. While they admittedly don’t travel well due to their size, the sound and noise cancellation means that I’ll make room and adapt because they’re must-haves for the airplane/terminal. It’s also important to note that you can’t turn them off - the “case” only puts them into a low-power mode so if you leave them alone for a few day’s you’ll come back and they’ll be out of battery. But, again, these are drawbacks that I’m willing to deal with.

Best headphones I recommend While the Apple AirPod Max is a great pair of headphones with best-in-class active noise canceling (ANC) and a good sound signature, it also has a few annoying quirks that make it very obviously an Apple product. If you live in the Apple ecosystem and already love your AirPods Pro, then the AirPods Max is more of the same just in a pair of over-ears.

Best product by far Apple has really out done themselves

The headphones are a little heavy on my head so when I look up or down they slide off and fall. Not ideal in terms of ergonomics.
