Noise canceling is awesome!! Can’t stop wearing them high quality music(feels like I am the music lol), long battery life (wear them to sleep often), and my favorite part is I’m an avid glasses wearer and they don’t bug me at all, they’re super comfortable!

Before saying anything in this review, I want to say up front, I would recommend these headphones, but only if you are aware of all the compromises and issues that they entail. If you are aware and careful, then they should be excellent headphones for a while. This pair I bought was actually a replacement for a previous pair I bought a couple months after the AirPods Max were released. That initial pair broke because of what I know understand to be an issue with the ribbon cable breaking from the cups turning too much. The problem is the cups are next to impossible not to turn if you use the included smart case and they only go into ultra low power mode in the smart case. Some other nitpicks are another well known issue - the condensation issue. Because the AirPods Max use metal for their ear cups without any ventilation, the ear cups will build up condensation after any listening sessions beyond 2-3 hours (depending on the temperature outside and if you are being active). These headphones are not meant to be used to workout, despite me visually seeing many people trying. They are not water resistant and will eventually die. Despite ALL this, they are actually excellent headphones. The noise cancellation is fantastic and the transparency mode is equally as fantastic. The sound quality is amazing. It has some nice punch to the low end without being overbearing. Apple's adaptive eq does a great job at keeping consistent sounds at different volumes. One unexpected area where the AirPods Max are incredible is when using with an Apple device to watch movies or tv shows - especially if the show/movie supports Dolby Atmos. When I use my AirPods Max on my Apple TV, the spatial dolby atmos is incredible and feels shockingly close to being in an actual theater - all while keeping the sound to myself and not bothering my neighbors late at night. The battery life is surprisingly good considering they never actually turn off and only utilize sleep modes to power save. The comfort is fairly solid too. Despite the weight, they actually have a nice comfort on your head with the way they are designed. The headband with the steel to adjust the length feels premium and durable. The headband maintained comfort even after using mine for around 4 years. The earcups are easy to pop off and replace if you have any issues or just to dust/clean off. I need to clarify I essentially use my AirPods Max mostly with Apple devices in wireless mode. I do use it with my PC or my PS5 for gaming, but I use the wired mode with the aux to lightning adapter. While it's functional, Apple needs to create a significantly better version of this cable. If you are seriously using it for any type of music production or gaming, you want it to be wired for ultra low latency. If you just use the adapter cable, it's comically short and thin. While mine hasn't broken, it is very short. My only solution has been to get an aux extension cable to pair with it, but it does slightly affect the sound quality. It shouldn't be necessary to create these solutions. To break it all down, these are incredible headphones if you are an Apple user. They sound amazing, have incredible noise cancellation/transparency modes, and fantastic Dolby Atmos/Spatial Audio support for watching movies/tv. That being said, anyone purchasing these who intends to have these work for any reasonable time needs to know - If you use these frequently with the smartcase, it will possibly break the ribbon cable connecting the earcups - this happened to the pair I bought and has happened to other individuals online with these headphones. I recommend a charging stand that avoids any earcup turning or a regular stand (this will drain battery slightly quicker) - No working out with these headphones - If you feel the headphones getting sweaty, take them off and wipe the condensation out with a dry towel of some sort. - They are a bit heavy, no getting around that - The aux adapter cable is not included and is comically short - Built with premium materials, but a flawed design that needs to be treated with care and understood where the product fails.

I LOVE MY AIRPODS MAX. It’s exactly what I needed and the battery life is so good it lasts like at least 24-48 hours (if you’re not heavy music listener) but that’s how much it lasts for me because I switch between my airpods max and pros. The noise cancellation is good, but since these came out in like Dec 2020, it has definitely improved in other models like the newest AirPods Pro. But the Max 2020 works just as good and can be used to travel and work at school or lounging at home

Audio is great. The battery is excellent and it charges fast. It is a decently heavy headphone. With long use, it became less comfortable overtime. Overall, very high quality headphones with little to no drawbacks.

Apple delivered as usual. These headphones are spectacular. I rated them in 5 categories. Bass, Clarity, Mids/Highs/Lows, Stability, and comfort. Bass is great. Especially with the built in equalizer. I recommend the “Hip-Hop” settings, as it maintains clarity to mids and has deeper base. If you want more highs or mids, I recommend keeping the EQ to normal for best sound. The comfort is also very very good. I came from using Sony headphones to these and its a night and day kind of difference. Not just the comfort but the feel of the quality materials blows XM4/5 put if the park. My only complaint would be the battery life. It typically lasts around 8-9 hours before needing a full charge on average. I also would’ve liked a more practical case for better protection when travelling. All in all, if price is a worry for you, everything checks out for it. You truly are getting what you pay for here. 9.5/10!

Amazing headphones, great sound quality, comfortable, great battery life, and amazing noise cancelation and transparency

I recently got my hands on the AirPods Max, and let me tell you, they’re an absolute game-changer! They feel like a piece of luxury, and the sound quality is mind-blowing. Sure, they might feel a bit heavy at first, but trust me, it’s all part of the experience. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a top-notch pair of headphones!

What to say about these headphones? If you’re an iPhone user, and you’ve had difficulty with other brands Bluetooth connectivity, then these are for you! They’re essentially Bose-level headphones, with the AirPods realizability. The bass levels are excellent, and comfort is fantastic. The magnetic ear pads are a really nice touch. They’re expensive, but if you’re an audiophile that doesn’t mind paying for tip quality, then that shouldn’t be an issue.

Good sound quality, good battery life but the best thing to me is the build quality it’s amazing but they are slightly heavier then most headphones but that’s made up for with the quality, I’ve had a couple spotty issues but nothing just resetting them didn’t fix but the bigges negative is the price tag it’s pretty steep but if u can afford to fork out the extra cash I think you’ll be happy!

I bought these for Christmas for my daughter, and she loves them. She appreciates the noise cancellation, and the surround sound is immersive and enjoyable. They are heavy but not so that they cause discomfort while wearing them. She uses them for music and online school. She also loves that there are accessories for customizing them. Overall we highly recommend them!

I bought the Apple AirPods Max for my daughter as a graduation present, and she absolutely loves them but I’ll admit, I borrow them every now and then too. The sound quality is outstanding, with rich, well-balanced audio, deep bass, and crystal-clear highs. The active noise cancellation is incredibly effective, making them perfect for studying, traveling, or just unwinding. I’m also a fan of the Transparency Mode, which lets you stay aware of your surroundings without taking the headphones off. The design feels premium, and they’re surprisingly comfortable to wear for long periods. While they are a bit of an investment, the quality and performance make it well worth it for both of us!

So, I’ve got an interesting story first about the service, then about the product. I had a pair of Sony WH1000XM4’s I purchased a year ago and essentially after using them I realized they weren’t for me, they actually hurt my ears, and the noise cancellation made me nauseous, so essentially I forgot about them (don’t judge me lol). A year later I went to the best buy on 82nd in Portland, OR, and I tell them this, the product was essentially brand new, had the og box and had everything in it, let me say I did not expect to get any money back for these and thought since I’m nearby why don’t I give it a shot … they returned the entire product for me and let me pay the difference for a pair of Airpods Max’s, essentially all I had to pay for these were $132, absolutely fantastic, and I wanna thank Noah, Arianna & Johny for helping me & doing this for me, and this will be one of the many reasons I’ll be shopping at best buy for a long time. Now the product, ended up getting the Black Airpods Max’s, these are absolutely fantastic, ESPECIALLY the noise cancellation, like I said previously the Sonys made me sick, didn’t feel good on my ears, and actually gave me a headache & nausea but these? PERFECT, I’ve been on a 6-hour flight with these on and let me tell you when you turn that noise cancellation on, you hear nothing but what you want hear, example you watch a movie? You’re gonna hear everyone’s voices clearly and everything else around you is non-existent, and they don’t make me nauseous or give me a headache!!! I’d say arguably these are one of the best noise cancelling headphones on the market currently, the battery life is also great, I had these on for a total of 8 hours including my plane ride and didn’t have to charge them once, highly recommend for those looking for longer battery life headphones and especially ones for longer flights, the headphones are extremely comfortable as well, I had earrings on and put these on over them and my ears didn’t feel cramped and were very cushioned, and I love how you can remove them and buy newer ones, now these are my ears that find them comfortable, I’d recommend trying them on in store if your skeptical. Bluetooth is also fantastic whenever your phone is nearby instantly finds the max’s and connects them. There’s a few downsides I’ve found with these headphones 1) the sound quality and base, it’s not the best imo, but everything else makes up for it, so it’s alright with me, 2) essentially these will never turn off or don’t have an off button you put them in the case and goes on sleep mode and essentially that’s turning it off lol, this doesn’t bother me but it might bother some, essentially keep your charger close by and charge it every night, you’ll be fine, 3) the last thing is these are indeed on the heavier side, they didn’t give me headaches however … I’ve seen reviews of people who have the opposite reaction, honestly, testing them out in store and using them for at least half a hour will probably let you know if the weight is going to be an issue, or buy them, keep the box and accessories and return them brand new after a week of using and you can get your money back. Overall, I’m satisfied with my purchase, and I don’t plan on returning these ever lol, thank you so much to everyone at the 82nd and Portland, OR store for helping me out! I’ll be back when I need more electronics!

-Aesthetically: look great on , match everything, chic for travel. -Functionality: the noise cancellation is top tier, they also include some sort of technology that follows your ears which assists with the perfect sound. -Battery life: is amazing and long lasting - got me through an entire day of international travel and the following day or two. They do take a while to fully charge. -Cons: they do slide when you lean your head back/move. I have to wear an updo when working out to avoid this issue, and also added silicone covers to combat it. -Overall: I think they’re overpriced, like most apple products. But they are sleeker and more appealing (to me) than other competing options. Curious to see how they hold up over time.

It’s been about three months since purchasing these amazing headphones. PROS. I have been loving the battery life and of course the sound quality especially with Apple Music. They also connect to my Samsung smart tv and my Asus gaming laptop with the same quality sound. CONS. The ear cushions start to smell like sweat if you workout or go running they should have made them sweat resistant for the price they lacked on that but still very comfortable on your ears

I had a pair of these before and sold them against my will. So glad i was wble to get my hands on a pair of these again. They are singlehandedly the best pair of headphones i have ever owned or will ever own. I highly recommend picking up a pair of these. They come with outstanding noise cancellation and a magnificient battery life. On average about 35 to 40 hours of batter and about 16 to 17 hours of playtime. When any kind of media is playing with sound cancellation on you cant hear anything outside of these. Great for plane rides or loud areas.

The AirPods Max deliver one of the best audio experiences I’ve ever had in a pair of headphones. The sound quality is crystal clear, with rich bass, detailed mids, and clean highs that make everything from music to podcasts sound incredible. The noise cancellation is top-tier, blocking out distractions and letting me focus completely on what I’m listening to. The Transparency Mode is also surprisingly natural—it feels like I’m not even wearing headphones when I turn it on. Comfort-wise, they are heavier than other headphones, but the mesh headband and memory foam ear cups make them feel very comfortable even during long listening sessions. The build quality feels premium and solid, not like cheaper plastic headphones. I also love the sleek silver design—it really stands out. The controls with the Digital Crown are intuitive, and the quick switching between Apple devices is seamless. The only downside is the case, which doesn’t feel very protective, and the price is definitely high compared to other options. But honestly, the performance and quality make them worth it if you’re looking for luxury headphones that deliver. Overall, I would highly recommend the AirPods Max to anyone who values premium sound, build quality, and the Apple ecosystem experience.

Great sound quality overall. Worth the money, use them daily for music, phone calls, etc. They are a bit heavy but if you are fine with that then you will love them. Amazing color and quality, physically and quality wise.

All previous over the head/ear headphones were too big for my head as well as uncomfortable because they pushed the glasses into my head and put pressure all over my head which made my mixed headaches worse. I was in the market to replace 2 sets of AirPod Pros gen 1 as my work headphones and thought I would try these since the battery life is 20 hours. Leave it to Apple to make amazing over the ear headphones that work perfect for petite heads as well as people who wear glasses. I have worn them for a week’s worth of meetings. They were comfortable and the battery still had 20%. A bonus is I got an open box pair for $380!!!

The battery, microphone, and noise cancellation are good. But too heavy and difficult to carry around.
