I have to say I was really thinking of buying these for a while and eventually bought them. I couldn’t be happier. They sound amazing first of all. The highs, mids and bass sound very crisp and clean. With Spotify equalizer these can be adjusted. I don’t use any other music service so I can’t speak on that. The noise cancellation in my opinion is better than my Sony xm5 headphones and transparency is also better than Sony in my use. Build is superb but on the heavy side a bit, but I really love the build of them a feel so I’m willing to forgive the bit of heaviness. They can be easily worn in my experience for a couple hours before fatigue sets in. Earcups are nice and large and encompass by big ears. I personally bought these over the usbc version as these are exactly the same and cheaper.

If you need a pair of soundproof headphones that aren’t heavy or bulky, these are the headphones to get. I am in love with them. They are perfect. They fit my eyes so nicely. They have a very soft cushion for my ears. The soundproof feature I use all the time. I just love to be in my room and play music and be in my own world. It is the best feeling. But, they are a little pricey but I applied for the credit card and all I did was pay $75 bucks or more every 2 weeks for only 2 months. It just all depends on how much money you add to the overall payment. But I was worth it. I am planning on getting some for my family members. My dad, boyfriend, and brother always use mine and I don’t mind but when I want to use them they are being used by others. So I think it is a great Christmas present. But I 100% recommend getting these headphones. They won’t disappoint you.

Apple has done an excellent job with these. They are super smooth and seamless when used within the Apple ecosystem , they feel more premium than anything on the market and the sound quality is phenomenal. Now for the negatives - Unlike many of its competitor's they do not fold in any way. you can however turn the earcups sideways so they fit into their case. - The case that it comes with is utterly hideous. (What were you thinking Apple??) its like a miniature purse that only protects the earcups leaving the headband and telescopic stems completely exposed -The price is outrageously expensive compared to its competition but that's kind of expected since Apple is the Gucci of the mobile tech world. Overall would I recommend these? Yes I would but only if you have money to splurge. You are not really losing out on anything by not getting these you would in many cases be better off getting the Sony WH-1000xm4 which is not only 200$ less but has the same premium sound quality and noise cancelation features.

I think that the sound is great like most Apple purchases I've made but I do find them hard to exercise with especially when running or jogging other than that they're great I like the look and the way it keeps the outside sounds to a minimum..

ANC technology is very good, and controls are highly intuitive. I bought these for my girlfriend for her birthday, but it only took me 5s to figure out the controls when I tried them on. Very comfortable and would seemingly fit a very large variety of head/ear shapes. The sound does not "wow" me for the price like some other headsets do, but they are a fool-proof high-quality product to which I tip my hat. Mic quality and sound isolation are rather lackluster on her end during phone calls with this device, which was a bit upsetting. Calls don't sound any better than her "pro" airpods or my Sony WF-1000xm5. But they get the job done. Mic technology will come around eventually, and it still sucks for everyone that's not making dedicated headsets I guess, so I won't fault them for that. Overall, very pleased with the product on my girlfriend's behalf, since she's really just been in her own world ever since she opened them lol.

First I want to say that the audio quality is good. It's great. It's not mind-blowing like many youtuber hype it to be, but you will be happy with it. Apple make product that will satisfy 80-90% of the customer and it is the case here. At least in the sound quality department. I would say I like this APM better than my $400 set up (schitt stack + Sennheiser HD6xx) because the sound profile here is fun to listen to. For listening purpose, you should go for a pair with a "fun" profile like this instead of the boring flat curve stuffs. The bass is great: it is tight, it is deep, and it is well-separated from the rest, like using a pair of speaker with a separate subwoofer. That said the XM-4 vs this one is very close and can ultimately be tied to preference in tuning. This one is "safer": the treble is not as bright so it will work for more types of songs. I prefer the APM by a tiny little amount in the Sound department That being said, this is a first gen Apple product: there are some flaws with it that is not highlighted by youtube reviewers. The practicality of this pair is poor. It is good for listening at home, not actually very good to use on a long flight. Here's why: 1: It's bulky and it doesn't fold. The carrying case is useless. It's gonna take so much space in your carry on. The Sony XM-4 beat it hands down here. Most people would be happier carrying the XM-4 on a plane than this. 2. It is uncomfortable for me after: 30 mins. It hurts my head. At first i thought it was the clamping force being too strong. So I screeched it out like some people on the internet did. It got more comfortable for the first 30 mins, then it still hurt. Turns out the cushion do not have the appropriate density, so after 30mins it collapse to nothing and the metal ring of the ear cup pressed on my head and that metal ring is very hard and edgy. Another negative for the APM making it not the ideal choice for carrying to an airplane. 3. Noise cancelling: at this point it is no longer relevant since this pair is only good for listening at home. Bose, Sony, APM will all do fine when you use at home in term of noise cancelling. You would not care. So to sum it up: it is a joy to listen to, but can't be enjoyed for too long. Even without the price difference, the XM4 is a strong competitor for it on the basis of practicality and comfortability alone. This APM can auto-eq while for the XM4 you may want to make use of the EQ functionality and they would be very close (like Coke vs Pepsi). This APM would be a no brainer if the price drop by $100 and they address the comfortability issue. The bulky and carrying issue can be lived with but the comfortability is a hard sell to many people.

Great sound quality, with a clean profile for bass and mid range and very crisp higher frequency. They sound good from hip hop to classical. They are more comfortable on my head than either bose or beats but they are heavy. Maybe a bit overpriced but definitely nice.

Amazing headphones, as they should be for the price point. I usually have a hard time finding headphones that don't hurt my ears. These are comfortable for hours on end. They sync seamlessly with existing Apple products. I can be using them with my MacBook and answer a call on my iPhone without having to do a thing, they are intelligent enough to use with multiple products like that. Noise cancellation is amazing, sound is amazing. Battery lasts forever. Great aluminum construction that I have not seen in headphones since my dads old school ones. Love these!

Going into this purchase, I had read reviews saying that it’s not worth the price, is too heavy, etc. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised. Yes, just for headphones it is expensive. But if you don’t already own a DAC and Amp, getting budget friendly audiophile approved ones plus headphones will easily meet or exceed this budget. The headphones are very light compared to my wood planars. I honestly don’t really notice them. If you have low end or plastic headphones they will be heavier. Yes, you can’t hook these up to your own DAC, making these a bit limited. But it comes with a mic, transparency and noise cancel, wireless, etc. I think it definitely makes up for any shortcomings and makes the price worth it. They’ve been called glorified Airpod Pros, and I have to say they sound a lot better than what that implies. Very full sound. I also like that they have better noise cancellation due to the added passive ability from the metal cups. Also, they’re pink and match my Red, er, Pink iMac.

I am a huge sound person. I look for headphones with good bass but also quality of sound. The AirPod maxes have some of the best bass in headphones but also keeps quality of sound in mind. When I am traveling by going on flights, the noise cancellation feature makes it worth the price. I have had screaming children sit next to me and the noise cancellation makes me not hear them. Also, it eliminates 90% of the airplane engine noises on the flight, and that is with no music playing. When music is playing I can’t hear a thing. Downsides: I haven’t been a huge over-the-ear headphone person, because it hurts my head. Due to Apple making a more quality product and having the frame be out of metal, the headphones are heavier than competitors. After 2-3 hours of me wearing the headphone, my head starts to hurt from the weight of the headphones on me. This makes me not use the AirPod Maxes as much as I would like. Another issue is the sound. People are more than satisfied with how loud the headphones are, but I personally like my music really loud when I listen. The AirPod Maxes aren’t as loud as AirPod Pros and that is due to them being over the ear headphones, but you can easily fix this by adjusting the equalizer on music apps like Spotify. My last complaint is the noise cancellation mode. It has taken me almost 4 months to get use to the noise cancellation mode. When activated, the only way I can describe it is when your ears plug themselves when you have elevation change, but it also feels like the headphones are pushing inward on you.

The AirPods Max deliver a level of audio quality that’s simply unmatched. Every note, beat, and effect comes through with crystal clarity and impressive spatial detail. These are exactly what I needed. They are definitely a luxury set of headphones. You can tell by the look and feel of them. They are extremely comfortable and sound really good. The noice canceling feature is my favorite part. Just one button and I can hear everything going on around me crystal clear. This helps when im in the office and I need to be able to hear the phone ring. These are my so much better than the AirPods Pro. I was always having issues with one charged and not the other. With these I never have to worry about that. Love love love these headphones!!

Ive been a Bose fan for years, but after buying these Apple Airpod Max, Bose doesn’t even compare to the sound quality, comfortability, battery life, and compatibility with all my Apple devices. If you are on the fence like I was, do yourself a favor and pull the trigger. You wont regret your purchase.
