Very good headphones, very comfy and audio is fantastic

I am a huge sound person. I look for headphones with good bass but also quality of sound. The AirPod maxes have some of the best bass in headphones but also keeps quality of sound in mind. When I am traveling by going on flights, the noise cancellation feature makes it worth the price. I have had screaming children sit next to me and the noise cancellation makes me not hear them. Also, it eliminates 90% of the airplane engine noises on the flight, and that is with no music playing. When music is playing I can’t hear a thing. Downsides: I haven’t been a huge over-the-ear headphone person, because it hurts my head. Due to Apple making a more quality product and having the frame be out of metal, the headphones are heavier than competitors. After 2-3 hours of me wearing the headphone, my head starts to hurt from the weight of the headphones on me. This makes me not use the AirPod Maxes as much as I would like. Another issue is the sound. People are more than satisfied with how loud the headphones are, but I personally like my music really loud when I listen. The AirPod Maxes aren’t as loud as AirPod Pros and that is due to them being over the ear headphones, but you can easily fix this by adjusting the equalizer on music apps like Spotify. My last complaint is the noise cancellation mode. It has taken me almost 4 months to get use to the noise cancellation mode. When activated, the only way I can describe it is when your ears plug themselves when you have elevation change, but it also feels like the headphones are pushing inward on you.

What I like the most about my AirPods Max is the incredible noise cancellation—it completely drowns out distractions, making my music and calls crystal clear. The spatial audio gives an immersive feel, making movies and songs sound amazing. The build quality is premium, and the memory foam cushions are super comfortable for long listening sessions. I also love how effortlessly they switch between my iPhone, iPad, and Mac. The only thing I wish was better is the Lightning charging; USB-C would’ve been more convenient. But overall, they feel like a luxury I truly enjoy!

Excellent, here are certainly cheaper headphones with equivalent sound quality, but these are well-constructed, comfortable for extended wear, have streamlined physical controls which are satisfying to use, and work hand in glove with an iPhone- it doesn't even shut off completely, it just senses when it's off your ears, and pauses playback. Removing this one layer of friction means I'm more likely to take the headphones off when I want to give my ears a breather, and the phone goes back to using its internal speaker while I catch up on email or whatever, and back into the music/podcasts just by putting the phones on.

These are great, and if you can get them on sale that makes them a better value - I didn't buy them until they began to be discounted, but having had them I would probably pay retail for them in the future if I had to replace them. When using them with an apple device with spatial audio, the effect feels like I can't tell the sound is really coming from the headphones (I lift one off to check). They're super comfy and don't feel heavy, though they're metal and that can feel cold sometimes. Transparency mode is mostly great but sometimes startles if there's a loud pop noise (bubble wrap) it will amplify it a bit. Noise cancelling is the best I've ever used, and I imagine that's due to apple putting in adequate computational power into these to permit smarter/better cancellation. These look to be modular - it should possible to separately replace the headband or either ear unit using a SIM card tool - so it's slightly reparable by Apple as they don't sell those parts separately. I worry about how the head band will age or get dirty with time or if the fabric frays (it hasn't), and it looks like it can be replaced if needed. Replacement fabric ear pads are sold by apple if they get grungy but pricey. Battery life seems very long, and they charge quickly. The case is weird looking, but works well enough in my laptop bag. Materials and construction feel are top notch, these headphones feel and look very premium, though I'm not a huge fan of their color selection and the look of the ear units (too rectangular and too much like an apple watch). I would love for them to eventually sell these in more/better colors, and to even permit mix-match of different colors for the ear units and headband or even sell them separately. I also worry that apple will discontinue or alter these so that in the future it won't be possible to replace or repair parts. I have an old headphone set from another company, and I've replaced the cord and pads on that a few times over the years. I think with these it would be nice if battery, pads, and headband could be replaced for years into the future, but I doubt that that will be the case. I'm still OK with it given how much I like these headphones.

I bought this for my daughter as a gift and she absolutely loves them. She has the pink pair and I’ve tried them. They are easy to collect to your phone, the sound is top notch and they do have noise cancellation. They do cost a pretty penny bjj in bit appears to be worth it for the top tier products. I would recommend.

Spent hours at a local Best Buy testing all the different headphones and this was the option by far. Fantastic noise cancelling, great sound quality, and the most comfort. Have had these for a little over a year and they still look and feel great. Only issue I've had has been with keeping the ear cushions clean since they are fabric, but that's a minor issue compared to what it provides.

One of my best experience, great gift for my daughter, she love it, quality sound wow, noise cancellation great, great service on delivery and arrived on time.

If you can afford it and are already apart of the apple ecosystem then I can recommend these. I was worried about the battery after people said you cant turn them off. But you can wear them from when you wake up to when you go to bed. Just charge them at night and they are ready for another 1-3 days. I use a fast charger so charging for like 5 minutes is more than enough to do something like go to the gym or a 2hr walk or something. No having an on/off button has oddly made them simpler and i personally like it. You just throw them on and they are already on and connected. The transparency mode makes it very easy to just leave the headphones on all the time because you can still hear very clearly outside the headphones. Then when you want to block everything out just 1 button does so. I can sit in the cafeteria at work and not hear anything around me while I listen to music. Also Id say have a big head and don't even use the biggest setting with these. I did have to buy a cheap case from Amazon though because I would never put them in my backpack with just the bra case. I only use that when I charge them. Just make sure when buying a case you get one that has the magnets between the ear cups. That is how the headphones get put into low power mode. Tldr: If you have the money and an iPhone, then you’ll appreciate these. Don't worry about the lack of a power button or the weight. And you'll need to buy a new case that has the ability to hibernate them.

Waited a year before I would review them and I’ve enjoyed every minute of them so far. The “BEST” headphones I’ve ever owned.
