    Our home is a decent size. We have an Airport Extreme Base in our Family room on one side of our home and was having connectivity issues on the 2nd floor Bedrooms on opposite side of the home. We like to watch Netflix in our bedroom, so this was a major pain. So I did a little research and decided to make the leap for the Airport Express. Setup was a breeze. Actually it was easier than the instructions even noted. It was really only about 2-3 minutes total to set up. After it was set up, I ran Speedtest throughout the home and our connectivity issues were all gone. Also, the design of the Airport Express is typical Apple, which is best in class. For people who use Apple products or have a Air Port Extreme base station wifi network that needs to be extended, you can't go wrong.

    I LOVE my Airport Express! Reception is exceptional, and set-up was super easy. We have moved house since purchasing this product, and have also needed to move the Airport Express a couple of times within the house since the move because of renovations. With each reconnection, we've encountered absolutely NO difficulties or problems!

    Great Wifi Router and Extender

    I originally had this set up as a wifi router but it couldn't reach the other end of my long apartment. I bought the airport extreme to go along with this and I added it to my network. Setup is easy, using the supplied Airport software, the device automatically detects the other devices and asks if you would like to extend the device. It transfers over the settings and a minute later, it just works. My signal now reaches the other end of the apartment with just a little bit of loss. I have a 30mbps connection and I get about 20mbps on the other end of my apartment. Definately not bad at all!

    I installed this router a few weeks ago since my old Linksys one finally kicked the bucket. I actually read some reviews before deciding to purchase this one as it's a bit more expensive than many others, but I have to admit that I've been quite pleased with it. I've had our home Mac, PC, 2 Kindle Fires and my work computer all in use at the same time with no problems at all. This is installed on the 2nd floor of our home, but reception in our basement is as strong as can be. Excellent product if it lasts.

    Great setup process to extend network to printer

    I'm definitely no networking expert, but setting up the Airport Express with a printer as an extension of my existing Airport Extreme Basestation's network was super easy. I had tried another product that the BestBuy employees recommended and which I was never able to figure out. But with the Airport Express I didn't even have to read all the instructions. I simply attached the Airport Express to my Xerox ColorQube 8580's ethernet port (using an ethernet cable that I already had), plugged in the Airport Express' power cord, started up Airport Utility (which is supplied with each Mac), waited a minute for the Express to be listed on the "Other devices" list of the Airport Utility window, then selected it in that list, then selected options to choose to add it to an existing network (thus making it a "client" of the existing network rather than setting up a new network), and the Airport Utility did the rest of the work to make everything talk together. Now my Xerox printer is available to everyone on the wireless network --- including my iPad. Nice!!!! Thanks Apple!

    Extremely easy to setup with iPhone app

    I purchased and set up this wireless router for my technologically challenged relatives that live a few houses down the street. The set up was painless. Plugged in the power and plugged in the ethernet. I then used the Airport Express app on my iPhone to set up the router. Set up the network name, password, and other settings. Extremely easy. I used my netbook to test the connection, when I was back home I noticed that my netbook was still connected to the network from three houses over! I understand that not everyone might experience the same range due to house construction materials but I was shocked to see it working, especially since I have a 4th gen Airport Extreme set up and it doesn't reach past the front and back yards.

    using as a range extender

    great product. i cannot believe how quick it is for my use, which is using it as a range extender. I have the extreme connected as my primary router and the express as my range extender and bluetooth speaker player. There is nothing that this little device can't do. Connects to everything that accepts a wifi signal, maximizes long range performance, small, and is capable of wirelessly playing music through connected bluetooth speakers. This is an all in one networking device. It is slightly pricey, but that is what you get when you are buying a incredible technological advancement. i have used other extenders and i can't say that any of them come close to the ability of the apple airport express.

    Had to change my current router because it was always disconnecting. Bought this at my local Bestbuy and it was on sale too. Setup took only 2 minutes! Not like the other router that needs a CD or something. Signal is superb and can reach my garage with ease. Get this router and it will blow your mind!

    Excellent extender

    Great extender. I have an Airport Extreme set up on the other side of the house. I have a desktop and an old non-wireless Xbox 360 in my room. I set this up in there and connected both into it with an Ethernet cable. The speed I get is amazing (the desktop is also wireless N and gets double up/down speeds when plugged in vs wireless). The setup is pretty easy, especially if you already have an Extreme or another Express. The easiest way to do it is to use an iPad or Mac which set it up in just a few minutes. For Windows, you have to download the programs from Apples website. Takes noticeably longer this way, especially if you want to set the network up manually, but it will work.

    Oh my God! This is the best router you will buy! According to speedtest.net, I was getting 1.5 Mbps on my old router when I was a room away. My Smart TV and Xbox were getting booted off, or not connecting at all. I plug this in, and I get 40+ Mbps in the same locations. It's wonderful!

    I bought the Express to extend my Wireless network in my home. I currently have a Airport Extreme thats set up in my basement and has worked flawlessly. I noticed on the farthest areas of my house upstairs there was a signal drop of a couple bars on my iphone and ipads. When I saw this item on sale I figured I could set this up on the second floor of my house to extend the network and use this as a repeater. It was so simple to do and took about 8 minutes and most of that time was to unpack the unit and do a software upgrade. all my devices are now lightning fast on the upper levels of my home and anywhere in my back yard all full scale signals. Thanks Apple

    While you can find cheaper routers that do more, the Airport Express is a powerful little router that is stable. I used to have a D-Link and can't tell you how many times I had to reset that router. In the 2 months of using the Airport, I have yet to reset the router to get wifi. It is very stable & having the free app to setup the router & modify settings is super easy & convenient. Updates are a breeze & coupled with our cable modem, speeds are great. It handles streaming & browsing on multiple devices simultaneously without lag or dropping wifi on one of the devices. More than capable of covering our 2500 sq. ft. split-level home and bigger.

    Another Great Apple Product

    I bought this to increase the range of my Airport Extreme. Outside and in certain parts of my house I just got no signal. Right out of the box this thing was up and running. I thought I would have to figure out the installation so I started googling it. After I didn't find much I just figured plug it in and see what happens. It configured itself to work with my existing network and all was set. It increased my network's range and now I have full signal strength all over my house and in my back and front yards. Apple products do what they claim. I have never been disappointed in any of their products and this is no exception.

    I bought this to replace a Cisco Linksys bridge router that i was using with a small hub so that I could have my PS3, XBOX360, Blu-Ray and TV all hook up wireless to the Airport Extreme that was my main router. The Apple Express was as easy as taking it out of the box and plugging it in. I used the Airport utility to configure it and was back in operation. The Cisco Linksys bridge would consistently drop out every 20 minutes. With the express, I have not experienced any drops. I would recommend the express to anyone.
