It is a router not a modem!! Do not get as a stand alone modem. It is only a router to be added to a modem

I'm using it to be able to play directly from the Spotify app to my Sonos speaker system. There are occasional dropouts but not enough to bother me and I'm not sure why they happen.

I alway like apple product. It is a great size and work well with all my others equipment. The speed is great.

I was a little concerned using an Apple product for my home network since I have mostly PCs. I think setup would have been much harder without an Apple product. But once it was going, getting the three laptops and my PS3 to communicate with it was easy and painless. Love it! It is fast and has a very robust signal.

Had problem in streaming video etc. Since i had tis product added to my set up, screaming is much better.

i use these routers for homes and small business'. They seem to last longer then other consumer modlels.

This unit was easy to set up and get going. I used to to extend my current WiFi coverage

We are using it as a second unit to complement a dead spot on our wifi network and it works great !!

I purchased this device as a network extender, it connected to the base and has worked great ever since.

This was just as advertised. It was easy to install and is working great after a month or so of use. I did not install it as I think most people do. I did not connect it to my internet network I just wanted it to allow me to stream music to my Niles box from Apple devices and it is doing a great job!!

This airport express is great, but you will need to do your homework, setup can be a little tricky.

We have tried other brands and this has provided the simple strong access point needed in our school.

This router works great as a primary base station and also can be setup to extend a current wifi network.

Picked this up and it has been great, installed in seconds and has been working like a dream ever since.

Being used to extend a network. Works as intended. It would have been nice if it were smaller like previous iterations. And had a bigger indicator light... like previous iterations.

I have had other routers in the past but all were and are inferior to this. Buy it, you won't be sorry.

As is typical of Apple products, standard installs e.g. using this as the main wireless access point for connection to an internet modem is very easy. However I needed this to extend a network and it did not work well. My wifi network is all Apple, with an Airport Extreme as the main wireless access point and router (and several other Expresses providing links to my Hi Fi and sound systems). I needed this Airport Express to extend the network to other parts of the house so that I could roam with a strong signal with my MBPro, iPad and iPhone. Basically the install process using the Airport Utility kept trying to make it the primary access point and would not configure it to extend the network saying that it could not find the network (even though the software installed in the Extreme was the same as the one in Express, all other wifi devices were using the network and they were next to each other!!). I eventually got it to work, but only because I understand how these things work and not because Apple's documentation was any help. I suspect that this will work well for anyone trying to setup a modest primary wifi network, but do not expect it to be any easier to use than all the other routers/access points out there. Overall a disappointing experience but probably OK for simple systems.
