Perfect solution to expand a wifi network
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.After struggling for months to keep a directv cinema connection kit and whole home DVR connected to my wifi, I finally broke down and bought this and an AirPort Extreme base station. Works so flawlessly now that I don't even think about it. Easy setup using your iPhone, plugged in the directv kit by Ethernet and it was done. No more frustration over download speeds and lost connection. It was expensive but sometimes you really get what you pay for.

Easy wifi setup for anyone

I was able to show them how to set this up in a few minutes off an Ipad, and they were up and running without problems. Speed is good, though for the price you would expect the newer 802.11ac, though if you are willing to pay another 100 bucks you can get that through apple I suppose.

Easy to setup and use router....however

Weak signal - It does not reach a few spots in my 1900 sq.ft home!! 2. As an WiFi extender - Extending an existing wifi works only if you have an another airport device. This is why I ended up buying an additional router 3. You have better options if you are willing to move out the Apple ecosystem.
