I was long overdue for a network router overhaul and with my new iMac and MBP I just purchased, I went ahead and upgraded my router to this so I'll also be able to use it for backups and such. Little did I know how outdated my other stuff was because this was not only such a breeze to set up, the functionality we now have is a night and day difference. I've not had a bit of problem with it, and have not regretted the purchase.

The airport Time capsule works flawlessly with both MacBook and iMac for network backups. The first backup can take several hours but subsequent backups run quickly and seamlessly in the background using Time Machine. The 802.11N performance is fantastic. Both range and speed are amazing.

Easy to use. Easy to setup. Works great! I'm able to backup my iPhones, iPad and pc very easily.

After consulting reviews, asking friends and talking the the Apple guy at Best Buy, we decided to give the AirPort Timecapsule to help with both our WIFI connection issues in our home and also to provide a central area that our computers could save important files. This was perfect. No complaints after using for over a month. The wifi is definitely improved and the network works streamlessly for the entire family.

As always, Apple doesn't fail to please. Easy set up, much improved wifi speeds! Great product.

Works faster when plugged directly to router. Able to back up more than one computer with time capsule. Initial backup can take a long time, depending on how much needs to be backed up.

I bought this for all the precious memories currently stored on my iMac. Now, when that goes, i have a backup. I also wanted my WiFi range expanded. This thing did both. The first install was not at all as easy as i thought it should have been. It took a while and I had trouble with it at first. I'm not an expert, but I'm not unfamiliar with computers either. Eventually, it got set up, backed up overnight and now routinely backs up the computer. You can hear it working, which i wasn't quite expecting. I'm not loud, but it is there and you know it is running when it does. The thing i like most about it is the range of the Wifi signal. I have a modem that came with AT&T Uverse, which was okay, but i couldn't be very far outside before i lost the signal. With this, i can go to every corner of my yard and have a decent signal - enough to run the Sonos app, which i am more that pleased with. You can probably get something cheaper that will work just fine, but i am happy with this product.

This was a great device but unfortunately due to misunderstanding at the store I had to return the item as I was told that this device would back up any Apple devices. I wasn't told that this only backed a Mac computer - which I don't have. Otherwise was very easy to set up - just took a while to realize why it wouldn't do anything. :-)

This TimeCapsule is a fantastic tool. Looks expensive at first until you look at everything you'd have to purchase to perform all the functions of this device. Wired & wireless router, print server and a 2TB backup drive, all in one box. No router over there, backup drive over here, printer cable from over there all spread over my desk. Just one device! And now my MacMini and MacBook Air are always backed up in the background.

Glad that we bought this product. We purchased a MacBook Pro not realizing we didn't have enough space to save all of our media. After doing our research, we decided to purchase this product. Works great and definitely can see an increase in our wifi speed.

Easy to setup and great range. Anyone who has bought a cheaper router does not know what they are missing. After setting this router up and speed testing it I found my wireless signal went from 20 down and 4 up to 60 down and 6 up. And the range is the best I have ever had in my house. My house is a 3000 sq ft colonial. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a new wireless router and backup drive.
