    Best external HD for Macs!

After having previous issues with other external hard drives for my Mac (was using Seagate), I finally decided to get the Time Capsule. So glad I did, it's been running smoothly, does automatic back-ups and is pretty much plug and play like other Apple products. A little pricey compared to other HD but it really is worth it!

The Apple Airport Time Capsule gives great wireless performance for all kinds of devices ranging from PC, iPads, Roku, PS3 and of course Macs. Only newer hardware like the recent MacBook Pro will be able to take advantage of the latest ac protocol, but older devices benefit from better signal also. It's pricey, but because it uses latest chip sets, it should remain up to date for a while. I'll admit I'm sort of an Apple fan boy, but there's no reason any user would be disappointed with this.

My AirPort Time Machine has been extremely powerful, fast, and has excellent range. I really enjoy the AirPort app that lets you check connectivity on my iDevice. My only issue is that it has had some issues backing up with my MBP, but it has been extremely rare. Overall, its easy to setup and use and is extremely fast.

I have a home-based consulting business so my router has to be both reliable for work and powerful enough to work in the broader house. I had a fairly expensive non-Apple router connected to a Verizon Fios setup, with an external hard drive connected for backups of 5 computers. For months I had issues with the signal being inconsistent, conflicts with the backup drive, and the network being disrupted by the signal from a bluetooth sound bar setup with a home theater. I decided to try going to a simple Time Capsule setup with a base station extender and it has worked absolutely flawlessly from the first minute. Backups happen reliably, the signal is much stronger and consistent than my prior setup, I have no conflicts with the bluetooth sound bar, and the equipment is both smaller and far more stylish. Needless to say, this has fit my needs perfectly!

I was looking for a simultaneous dual band router to get my full 150mbps connection over wifi. This thing not only has a good enough range that I have signal walking the dog around the block, I get my full dl speeds. Best part is the built in storage. I have about 200gb of movies stored on it that I access while traveling so I always have my movies! Worth every penny!

Had other routers, had problems with them (conflicts, short range), but so far my experience with the WI-FI function on this Apple Time Capsule has been great. On top of that its one unit with a built in external hard drive that also backs up my computer automatically, without me even need to worry about it. Only negative is even though its range is the same or slightly further then other comparable models, I wish they had a version with a much longer range.

This router is absolutely fantastic; It greatly exceeded my expectations. Not only did it drastically expand my range and speed (going from a Motorola Surfboard g/n modem/router combo), but it is incredibly stable and easy to use. I can now use mutliple devices simultaneously without interference or lag (up to 50 according to Apple). Plus, the 2.4ghz frequency can be used at the same time as the 5ghz, which means my girlfriend can use her iPhone 4S on 2.4 while I am enjoying the faster 5ghz frequency my iPhone 5 can utilize -- my previous router made us choose one and stick to it (guess which one I was stuck using...). And it could be just our imaginations, but speaking of iPhones, both of us have noticed that our phones appear to get an additional bar of service in our home when connected to the Apple Airport network (hers is Verizon, I'm AT&T). Maybe it's an Apple device thing, or maybe it's wishful thinking, but we both noticed the boosted cellular signals right away... Regardless, the WIFI signal now reaches every corner of our one story three bedroom house without signficant degredation, which is something my Motorola Surfboard never even came close to acheiving. Two final positive points about this router: First off, you can run 3 wireless access points simultaneously; 2.4ghz, 5ghz, and a 2.4 guest access point that is not part of your home network. Secondly, you can use this router for airplay via a 3.5mm headphone jack in the back of the device that allows you to plug in computer speakers, or, in my case, a 3.5mm cord running to my home theater, which allows us to stream any source of music (pandora, iTunes, Spotify, etc.) from any device in the network (laptops, ipads, iphones, etc) to our living room sound system

Sets up in a few minutes. Much better data transfer speeds than my previous router. With time machine on the Mac my computer is always backed up without any intervention on my part after the initial several click set-up. Fantastic product.

The Airport Time Capsule replaced the wifi router supplied by our cable/broadband provider. While the signal was relatively strong, it didn't cover the house and didn't like Apple devices. I tried my Airport Express (travels with me for business) and the wifi experience was 100% improved so the Airport Time Capsule became the logical solution. It's perfect for us: it covers our entire house (single level, but long), facilitates wireless USB print serving (plug & play with an older Brother printer), is trouble-free with multiple Apple devices (MacBooks, iPhones, iPads), PCs (Lenovo thinkpads), and Android tablets. Time Machine backups take place automatically. Overall, the best thing is that once plugged in, we take for granted the Apple Airport Time Capsule is there: It simply works!

Noticeably faster than my N router. Backs up all my Macs on Time Machine. Super easy to set up. Gorgeous. It can run two wireless networks simultaneously. I have set up a guest network. Guests have access to Wi-Fi but not access to anything on my networks keeping my computers and hard drives secure.
