Negatives are that you are limited by the lighting connector. If you plan on only using these headphones on an iPhone than this should be of no issue, Sound quality is exceptional for the given price.

The store was close to Applebees where we were havin dinner, so we stopped by and bought them. THhey work great, and my child knows to be more careful.

I could hear my music on my Ipod fine. Only draw back for me is the cord can get tangled in boxes or caught on items while I'm working. I gave mine to my son and ended up getting the wireless EarPods. If you're not bending and moving a lot these are fine great quality pods. Price was good got them on sale.
