Can't tell the difference

Talked to Apple, they said they know of the problem but their program to replace them ended in October. Wasn't going to buy another set from them so bought refurbished from Best Buy for 1/2 the price. No difference. So far so good.

Not sure if its due to being refurb might have some defect or may need to play with settings
