I got it for under 50 dollars from the exellent refurbished option, and it came out flawless, the only complaint that i have is it does get slightly annoying when your phone is tryng to constantly connect, and it does sound really balanced, but i like bass to be punchy, which is slightly lacking ( EQ might help).

Love it. Super loud for its size. Bass is insane, you wouldn’t expect it, honestly. 10/10 would recommend

After a year use of HomePod, I have only one issue that I need to restart it every 2-3 days to have it connected to Mac mini. I am not sure if this is for everybody. I have searched answers for this but I found no luck. Other than this, sound is loud enough for office space, seamlessly integrates with IOS functionality. No hiccups.

Great product. Wonderful sound. Clarity with all types of music and enough bass to give those who love heavy bass driven music satisfaction. Siri is responsive. Only downside is that its chorded and remains stationary but that's not enough to rate it any lower. Apple outdid themselves with this device. Impressed and I'm not even an apple fan.

Coolest WiFi speaker setup If you are in the Apple ecosystem. I have 3 of these along with a Roku on my home entertainment setup and I airplay it all over the house. Sounds very good. I like that you can cover a range without having to make it deafening.

If you use Apple products, the HomePod mini is a convenient way to access and interact with Apple Apps hands-free. Apple Music works well and I can send the audio to any of my Airplay 2 speakers. The sound quality of the HomePod mini is impressive for the small size. Plenty of people have written about how Siri compares to other voice assistants, but generally it behaves well for Apple Apps specific tasks.

I was rather disappointed in the features of the HomePod. Unlike my Google nest mini, I cannot start Spotify music from it, or Apple Music (possibly because I don’t have premium Apple Music); rather, I have to airplay from my phone/other Apple device and it cannot serve as a Bluetooth speaker for a non Apple device. It can’t turn off a light from my smart plug in 15 min (can only turn on/off immediately) and it only has very basic Siri functions where even my iPhone can do more. The only real upsides to it is that it can turn off my bedroom lamp and that it has decent sound quality. Glad I bought it as open box because I would have been even more disappointed if it was full price.

I wasn't expecting too much out of these speakers but they actually sound phenomenal, especially for the size. As an added bonus, it can also detect the temperature and humidity in a room. I had no idea it could do that but it's a handy bonus feature.

Great sound for a speaker that is so small. The bass stands out.

I am surprised by the sound that comes out of these small speakers. You can fill a room, especially with two paired in stereo mode. Apple ecosystem integration is a must, outside of that, not much reason to purchase this. Myself and my family enjoy these enough to have justified three in the house.

Because it's the Apple smart speaker, of course it's a little locked down, really offering only AirPlay 2 and Apple Music as options to get your tunes. (Though a software update still due in 2020 supposedly adds support for other services, it's not here yet.) What I love about the HomePod, though, is its deep bass in its small size, especially if you create a stereo pair. I've done some in-store and at-home listening, and a pair of HomePods definitely gives a single Sonos Five a run for its money in raw sound quality. I've also had very good luck using a HomePod pair instead of a soundbar with an Apple TV, and supposedly the same update that adds support for other music services will allow you to pair an Apple TV 4K with a pair of HomePods for Atmos support. (We'll see how good it actually is, but even if it's not perfect, the price is better than shelling out for another wireless speaker system.) In short, you get more out of a HomePod if you're deep in the Apple ecosystem, but everything I've heard played on one sounds great.

Setup was easy, Siri can somehow always hear me so I never have to shout, the controls are all easy, it syncs up with my other Apple devices really really well, and it sounds way better than it has the right to. It’s super bass-ey without drowning out any of the mids or highs.
