it might not be perfect, but for a smart speaker, it does the most important thing really well...MUSIC! Much better sound quality than my Echo Dot or Google Mini. For someone who is deep in the Apple ecosystem, it is more than worth the cost!

Impressive high and mid sound with the right amount of bass, although only half the size of Echo and Google Home speakers! Much better privacy than those speakers too with on-device voice recognition, hence don’t need to spy on you every second.

Love this! I mainly use it as a speaker and it’s super great! Thinking about switching out some lightbulbs and using the smart light feature as well

It's possible to remove a star for price, but I'm so delighted with my HomePod mini, I feel I got my money's worth. The unit is being used in a bedroom where it meets all my listening and Siri needs. The sound is incredible for such a small unit.

For something so small it sounds fantastic. If you’re an Apple fan I definitely recommend grabbing one. Works seamlessly with other Apple products and I believe can be paired with other HomePods, at least I’ll find out when I buy my second one.

I love my HomePods. This is my 7th homepod in my house and they sound great together! And makes movie night amazing throughout the house!

Love this little speaker. I have the Home Pod at my house and wanted something for my office. Not disappointed at all. I cannot have it too loud, so I cannot speak to total volume and distortion, but at an easy listening level it is great.

I have mostly amazon products in my home, and wanted to start looking for alternatives to playing my music on those devices, as they were starting to fail me, and I am an apple user. However, this homepod mini wasn't what I expected. The overall sound is cool, but it feels like an over priced wireless speaker. The features don't justify the price, so for now I'm sticking with the ability to air play to the amazon devices. Can't see spending more on a full size homepod based on what I've experienced so far.

These things sound great - have a mixture of Apple/Amazon speakers for different applications - very pleased with these minis.

Small little ball of fun. Already have the second gen Homepod for my living room and now wanted a smaller one for my bedroom. It does lack on bass but it still sounds good.

We have the larger apple speaker downstairs. So easy to get this one to extend to our sons room. He absolutely loves asking Siri to play music or tell jokes. The sound is excellent quality and it matches the price sticker. Highly recommended.

It sounds great! I've been looking for a speaker dedicated just for my mobile devices and this is perfect if you're already in Apple ecosystem. It picks up your voice even you're far away from the device which is better than other smart speakers.

It’s not a speaker, if you want it for a one, for example, for zoom, it won’t sound the voice, but, if you use it for Youtube in your computer, yes, it works. Has a great sound, nothing to ask for a reconogze brand.

Absolutely love it!! Needed a small speaker for the bathrooms and went with thins small but mighty thing and have no complaints!

The device itself is probably a 4 out of 5 stars for what it is. Average priced smart speaker with decent audio quality that's good for its size. The issue is the software. Siri is okay but the homepods are only compatible with a couple music services (Apple Music and Pandora), otherwise you have to airplay a song from spotify or another service from your iPhone. Not compatible with Android phones. Homekit is also flakey and doesn't work as well the more Homepods and Apple TVs you add. Hopefully they can continue to improve the software but it's a decent device for someone in the Apple Ecosystem.
