Often, I have to repeat commands, which is annoying. Sound quality was better than expected. I do like I can connect my Apple devices via Airplay, allowing me to use the pod as a speaker, plus ability to connect to pods in different rooms (which is great). Overall, pleased with purchase.

Siri is kinda meh, the llm could definitely be upgraded seeing how well other llms are doing in todays world (things like chatGPT, etc.). I expect more from a large conpany like apple.

Love it! I also have whole home surround sound in the ceiling and I prefer this sound better. Going to get another one too!! Great sound and Siri is a huge plus!! We use it as a hub for a smart house!

This is one of the best sounding speakers around that will give you the clarity and bass many desire in such a small package. As Apple improves Siri, the HomePod will even be unmatched.

Who knew that Apple would discontinue this beast of a speaker, but I’m glad I got it beforehand because this thing rips sound out like you wouldn’t believe and the quality is too notch. You can hear subtle sounds that you wouldn’t hear on a lower quality speaker and the max volume is very loud without losing much quality. Siri is a little finnicky and gets on my nerves sometimes. Using airplay can also be finnicky when your phone loses track of what the HomePod is playing. Other than some minor annoyances, this thing is a wonder of technology and sound. Get it before it’s gone forever!

Purchased this for my son for Christmas. May have been one of the best Christmas gifts ever. He loves the room filling sound, and the ease of set up. Very nice.

We wanted to get another smart device to play music, with easy control from the iPhone (that means, not with Sonos). When this went on sale, we immediately grabbed one unit, no question! We already have two Google Home (Mini and Hub), and Amazon Echo (Dot and Spot). We love playing music with HomePod through Airplay because its sound quality surpasses that of Google and Amazon smart devices. Siri also catches your voice command much better than Google and Alexa, even when we are standing farther away. Get it, you won't be disappointed.

Apple being famous for producing products that work like magic have brought to us a product that needs magic to work as advertised. Connecting to the mini is a hassle. It doesn’t support Bluetooth. It can be used only by air drop like feature. Having sound play on it is difficult. switching between apps is difficult. Siri somehow seems dumb on mini. One disappointment is that its a poor product for handsoff audio calls. The major problem is the implementation of how audio reaches the mini and the source device. Got only one update in the last three months and didnt make much of a difference. Btw, as of wwdc 2021 apple mini doesn’t seem to support spatial audio and lossless audio. Skip this product. See for others in the competition.

This was purchase to make a stereo pair for my nightstand. Activation was stone-simple, the old HomePod Mini automatically detected the new one, and stereo sound was produced. The one-star removal *might* be a bit unfair as I'm the Mini lacks in bass production and high note reproduction compared to the more-than-twice-as-expensive HomePod.

I like this product so much I bought four. Its integration with Apple Music and Siri is really good. Have Siri play playlists, play any song or artist, ask when a song was released, etc... It's even better when you pair two of them in stereo. There is an issue using the speaker as an Airplay speaker from a Mac or PC. For some reason, the speaker just stops playing. From an iOS device it is fine, the problem is only when used from a Mac/PC iTunes or Music app. I'm sure it's a software problem that will eventually be fixed. But if you use it primarily to play from Apple Music directly you won't be disappointed.

This is my first Home Pod mini. I love it! Can stream from my Sirius XM app or Pandora, set alarms, make lists etc. I want one for every room so that I can use as intercom!

This is one of the best speakers that I ever used. Everything on the floor to stay inside the Apple ecosystem. Super heavy bass need it has clear highs and lows.

You can ask it to turn on your Tv, Set an Alarm, play music, ask it questions, Turn On/Off your lights, set a timer, and much much more! Who needs hands when you can ask your home pod to select the song or show you want to watch
