So far it's been great. I had Google home Mini's (Free or very cheap price paid) and these sound better and are more useful because I have apple devices. Yes, you can't mount them to a wall, but I can live with that inconvenience. They are a great size. I will definitely be getting another one. So my whole house is covered. The full size is still a better option I think for bigger rooms. I use mine in the kitchen, bathroom, office. Full size in the bedroom and AppleTV/Soundbar for the living room.

Let's start with the good! They sound really great for the size. I've got two and I love listening to the same thing upstairs AND downstairs at the same time. Pretty cool! They're easy to connect and when they work well they work great. The downsides... They rely on a wifi connection. Our wifi cuts out when we're hosting multiple people at our house and that is EXACTLY when we WANT TO USE THEM. So they cut out constantly because they rely on wifi instead of just Bluetooth connectivity. The biggest con, is that they don't work with Spotify, which is where all of my girlfriends playlists are (I bought them for HER for Christmas). So when you want to control it using "Hey Siri" it starts playing apple music and the playlists are straight trash unless you go through and remake all of your playlists. So I created a playlist for them to play so I could set and forget for an afternoon. Except it kept playing from the album the songs were from instead of the order of the playlist. Apple Music is doing great things with Lossless audio but the playlists and radios are a DEAL BREAKER. They work great for having a timer that you can set and listen to from anywhere in the house. But honestly... We're probably going to return them. The smart home technology is just not there yet and having a reliable Bluetooth speaker that you can just bring around with you instead of having it plugged in all the time and needing wifi outweighs any of the smart tech advantages. They WOULD be so cool. If they worked how they were supposed to and worked with Spotify. I have everything Apple. iPad Pro 12.9 2020 with Magic Keyboard and Pencil (so does my gf.) Our business runs from the MacBook Pro M1 Max and M1 13''. Amazing technologies. I even have the AirPods Max, I'm a bonafide Apple sheep.... but these things suck.

Fantastic sound in a cute package! The sound from this speaker, which is about the size of a coffee mug, is totally unbelievable! I have mine near a wall, and there isn’t that “in your face” sound from bouncing off the wall and it sounds rich and not tinny It took me about 2 minutes to get it set up, synched and that was it! I have another system that took me DAYS to get figured out, numerous calls to tech support, but not with this speaker. I haven’t had any need to set up a second one—yet

We decided to go with Apple’s HomePod minis as a bargain way to begin smart home accessories using Apple’s HomeKit. We aren’t ready to invest in the full setup yet, but love the versatility of the HomePod mini. From intercom ability throughout our home to controlling and playing music and audio, it is a delightful experience. You find yourself using it more than expected thanks to the Siri functions and it is fun exploring the other abilities of the HomePod mini. A great listening experience!

Purchased 3 of these and have them in various rooms of my house. Really good sound & love how I like how I can play over all or select what speaker/room to play. Works better with HomeKit than using my phone/iPad when using “Hey Siri”. Intercom feature is also neat but not something I use regularly. Looks great, sounds good & offers enhanced functionality. Highly recommend for the price point & get more than one if possible for better experience. Setup was seamless & quick.

Awesome little speaker, very helpful for Siri and HomeKit, but even just a basic music player it’s loud and has nice features. Even speakers without assistants and similar audio quality are more expensive just because they have a battery and aux jack. If you’re fine with WiFi or AirPlay and don’t need a portable speaker, this is a great option for apple users and will give you HomeKit capabilities. Only downside for me is the lack of native Spotify support, but you can still play Spotify on your phone or iPad via airplay.

This has great sound for such a small smart speaker. Works great with stereo pair (adding another homepod). The only downsides are software based with siri not being as good as her counterparts. But once set up (which is very easy with a iPhone) it’s a great device with amazing voice recognition technology. If I can change something it would only be how many commands that siri can handle, but I would choose this over alexa and google assistant even though it has less devices that you can use with them. Only reason I prefer this is the Apple ecosystem and the added security over other smart home speakers.

I’ve had a google assistant speaker, an Alexa and by far this one is the best, the sound quality and the way the product was manufactured to get that nice bass punch makes it feel so immersive. The highs and mids aren’t too overpowered or overpowered. And when you are playing music from your phone you can either AirPlay it like any Bluetooth speaker or bring it close to the pod and it starts playing there. I use it everyday!

HomePod mini surprised me. I have a couple of full sized HomePods and I love the sound they produce. I knew the mini couldn’t deliver the same sound, but it really does deliver a great sound. No distortion, even with the volume maxed out. A stereo pair of minis deliver very nice sound. The mini is perfect for an office or kitchen. And if you are wanting to get started with other smart devices (light bulbs and switches) this is an affordable way to get started with HomeKit and Thread devices.

The HomePod mini has great sound for its size. Even more so when stereo paired. Setup was simple, by just plugging it in while holding an iPhone next to it. I was easily able to add a room in the Home app since it was the first HomeKit-compatible device in the room. My only complaint is that you have to use the provided 20W adapter Apple supplies which sticks out from the wall enough to where it wouldn’t fit behind most furniture without pulling it several inches off the wall.

I’m trying to stay away from the Amazon brand and took a chance and bought two HomePod minis as I already have an iPad iPhone and Apple TV And after getting everything set up I love my HomePod minis Siri is a great voice assistant and is just as good as Alexa and after linking my HomePod minis to my Apple TV it makes an amazing soundbar movies video games and music sound amazing Great base and sound quality for $200 I have an amazing audio system for my HDTV along with a great voice assistant too I highly recommend the HomePod mini it makes a perfect home theater system the sound quality is way better than the echo dot and the ability to link to your Apple TV and HDTV is a game changer Highly recommended

Solid sounding speaker. Siri is still pretty immature compared to the rest of the field even though she was out first and put smart assistance into mainstream, but she has enough to get what you want done. If you’re the type to ask a lot of questions, this isn’t the smart speaker for you. If you’re the one in Apple’s ecosystem and is looking to extend the reach with a smart speaker, this is the best bang for buck to get. It sounds great and takes up little space.
