beware of "excellent open box"

I purchased it as open box item online. I had previously purchased one on the apple website, but came across this open box while surfing bestbuy. The sound quality is amazing, from the one I purchased at apple. I returned it to purchase the open box and save $100. I really regret that decision. The unit would ever connect to the wifi, it kept telling me to refer to home app, which wasn't any help. My original unit took less than 5 minutes to set up. I will be returning this defective unit, someone else obviously returned as well, hence the great open box price!!

Does not work with anything

Also it won't connect to bluetooth or show up in our home app. My wife and I both have apple products purchased within the past couple years so we assumed it would be easy to set up. I've reset it multiple times and nothing seems to work.
