I am a Apple geek for sure. I don't own everything they make but I am pretty loyal at this point to Apple products. I have a bunch of bluetooth speakers and wanted to try to see how it compares to some of the powerhouse ones I already have like the new Bose line. Overall I think the sound from the speaker is impressive but I think the Apple screwed up on a few things. One, the speaker isn't portable. It has to be plugged in at all times so to me it is very cumbersome. I love my Bose because I can pick it up and take it anywhere with me and it'll have great sound in my room. The homepod basically has to stay in one spot. It would have benefited greatly from a charging station. It produces great sound. Probably some of the best I've heard from a speaker, but for 350 dollars I feel like it could be better overall. When I play music and then switch to a facebook video there is considerable lag in the sound, and it's not easy to switch off that device because the Homepod is considered under a Home device and not a bluetooth device. It is nice that the homepod can play music on its own sans your phone if you talk to it and say "Hey siri play Ray Lamontange". But it only plays apple music, no pandora or spotify. I do have to say the Apple to me is really good at releasing products, but usually I wait until the second or third version before I buy a new product. Look at the difference between the first apple watch and the third series now. The third series is what the watch should have been from the get go. I think the same applies to this speaker. In 2 years they will release a speaker that is portable, smaller, and can produce the same amount of sound and that will be the one I ultimately buy.

Awesome! Exactly what I was looking for. Great search features and play every song. Wish HomeKit was more advanced and more adaptable.

I thought it was wireless but that’s my fault. Not what I thought it was.

This works just as you would expect it to work with your iPhone, perfectly. Great continuity and the handoff feature is great!

Excellent sound. Ease of use. Fun to use. Buy a couple for your home.

bought it for a stereo setup for mac. doesnt work well, delay in sound and wouldn’t connect after sleep fora while. returning

I am an Apple guy, all the devices in my house are Apple. This was the trickiest to set up. Apple actually has a specific group which aids and setting this device up. Once you are done or you can enjoy the clean crisp highs and the deep bass lows that this speaker provides. You are able to turn Siri on or off and connect multiple devices. Pure listening joy!

Love these little guys I bought one for living room and one for bedroom. Sound isn’t amazing. But good enough.

My daughter loves this so much that she plays it all night and all day long, I can’t get any sleep I’m glad she’s happy.

Best ever AI pod for my place very well designed great speaker

For some reason my HomePod mini doesnt allow me to adjust the volume from the keyboard of my mac. It also weirdly wont play when connected just to the mac. Siri is absolute garbage and for some reason when it does work and I ask homepod to play a song I cant figure out which device its casting from.

Sounds good but connectivity is not consistent and great.

Hands down the winner in sound quality over Amazon’s best. I was so impressed, I returned to Best Buy and bought 2 more! I paired two of them to make a stereo pair in the bedroom and I am ecstatic. Won’t work with Spotify, but Apple Music subscription fits the bill. Well done Apple. Note: I purchased these speakers when they were on sale for $199. Worth every cent.

Loving this speaker. Caught it at the 199.99 pricepoint and finally gave in. There are issues with the lack of questions that can be answered by siri and the handoff feature is not yet seamless, but other than that this is legit, especially if you are a part of the ecosystem. Wireless would be great as well. I also own the jbl link 20 and would at this point prefer this speaker. I will re-emphasize that the functionality still needs work and this is very apple ecosystem friendly.
