I love this homepod mini. GREAT sound for such a little device. Much better than my Amazon echo dot. Stylish design, Siri works great and I love that I can control it with my phone and that it ties into my Apple system. This one is a winner.

I have had my eye on the HomePod since it was released. For me the cost of entry was always a bit too high. I finally caved when Best Buy had a sale and picked one up. Comparing it to the two echo dots that I have at home, the HomePod was in a whole other league. Sound was crisp and filled the room, and sounded great in multiple locations, due to the HomePods ability to optimize it sound based on the room. Being an Apple Music subscriber, using Siri on the HomePod to play music and playlists that it would think I would like has been nothing short of a treat. I find the music recommendations great and the sound quality unmatched in a smart speaker. Although Siri has gotten a bad reputation, I find Siri is more than adequate for most queries and actions. Again comparing it to my two echo dots, I actually prefer Siri for 99% of things. I have found Siri to have less hangups, especially when making music requests. Apples app “Siri shortcuts “does make customizing what you request from Siri better. However the app can be a bit daunting to novice users. And Siri’s response when responding to custom commands can sometimes be robotic. I have found that Siri is far quicker than Alexa at controlling smart home devices. Having loved the HomePod so much, when they were on sale again, I picked a second one up. I set them up in stereo mode and was again very impressed by the sound that it put out. Ideally, I would have a HomePod on each floor of my home. Due to the higher price of the HomePod, the cost can be restrictive to making that a reality. While I have two set up on one floor in a stereo pair, it is easy enough to move one or both to another floor or a room, plug it in, and have it play without doing anything else. The HomePod works best with Apple Music, but with the upcoming update in the Fall of 2020, Apple will be allowing third party music support on the HomePod. Although it is possible to do so now by air playing to the speaker from your phone, you must still rely on the phone to do so. The new update should allow third party services to run natively. The HomePod is a device for people that want smart home control, with the advantage of privacy that Apple offers, along with a love and appreciation for music. If music is not a priority, there are currently cheaper alternatives to dedicate to smart home control. For music lovers and those in the Apple ecosystem, the HomePod is a great choice.

    Good voice assistant, better speaker

Amazing sound quality compared to other voice assistants. Easy to use, intuitive with the Apple ecosystem, and good cord length. Siri sends information to your phone more than making statements out loud like Alexa, which can be inconvenient at times. The cord does not detach from the device and I was not a fan of that, as any cord repairs would mean a whole unit replacement, and the integration with Spotify does not feel as native or intuitive as if you use Apple Music. If you want an assistant primarily for music, this has the best sound quality, however if you want an assistant for the assistance, Alexa outperforms Siri in terms of information it’s able to display and provide, witch a more consumer-friendly price-point, and is cheaper to repair/replace.

I love the sound of our HomePod mini. Since we are deeply immersed in the Apple ecosystem, it works seamlessly with all our Apple products. Super easy to set up. Once set up, I can unplug it & take to a different room with no problem. Mostly we leave it where it is. I plan to get more of them!

If you have an Apple TV or iPhone/iPad this is a must have. Handing off music and call from other Apple devices is a breeze. I put mine behind the couch and it’s synced with the TV so movies and shows sound great! Plus since Siri is built in, controlling my lights or other HomeKit devices is easy.

These little things are a lot louder than expected and the size is perfect. Big enough to be noticed but small enough not to obstructive. I purchased them for all the room in my house and they are a welcome addition especially with the intercom feature; no more yelling dinner is ready for me.

So awesome! My wife kept pushing for this while we were in store to pick up other items; I thought it an unnecessary luxury. Perhaps unnecessary for some, but as an Apple Music family, this little device has been wonderful! And reasonably priced, which is weird for Apple. ;)

When Apple announced they were discontinuing the original HomePod, I was disappointed and quickly ordered another one to pair with the one I bought a year ago. I really wanted a set to stereo pair with our Apple TV. The sound quality is outstanding for such a small speaker. We have it set as the default audio output on our Apple TV 4K and it works like a charm. Far superior sound to the TV speakers (admittedly, not hard to do), convenient Siri integration, intercom to other Homepods in the house, and designed with a sleek look I don’t mind having on the mantle, as opposed to a long sound-bar. Sad to see them be discontinued.

I have this setup as a stereo pair on my desk. I've used Homepods in other rooms in my house for years. I love the size and sound quality of the Mini.. especially the sound when it is paired up with another. I've had better performance controlling my smart home devices with Siri than other options.

The HomePod mimi is only small in size the sound is amazing and is great for home controls. This HomePod lives in the kitchen/dinning room where we can listen to music while we prepare our meals and eat. it is a great all on for those small spaces that don't need the big homepods. We love it!

The set up is so easy. The sound quality is amazing! My grandson tried to talk with Siri, but Siri did not recognize his voice and asked who was speaking. This alerted me so it gave me the opportunity to intervene—in my house this counts a lot. I bought one for my daughter as a Christmas gift.

Easy to use and set up through the home app, it kind of automatically pops up on your phone when you have it near it to. You can use it to control any smart accessories you have in the home, as an alarm, speaker, or just to ask any daily questions. Very small but packs punch for a good price.

I got these since my new house doesn't have the hard wired speakers with volume control in every room like my old house did AND because I used to stream from my Mac to my 2006 Apple TV that house L & R outputs that I ran to my receiver. When that died, I was unable to have "whole house" music on, which is how I mostly listened. I have the HomePod, which sounds much better, but is of course more expensive. These are great to put into other rooms so I can still hear music without having to have one main source of music coming from the den up really loud. There were some initial problems with them that might be because I'm not an Apple Music subscriber, but I got through that. The only thing is that I wish I could control volume on them individually from my phone. Maybe I can, but haven't fond it yet.

Big, rich sound from such a small device. It integrates easily with your smart thermostat. And it even measures the temperature inside your room. It’s really the most useful only if you subscribe to Apple Music. Otherwise, you have To “push” music to it from your phone. Be aware, this device is not as smart as others such as an Amazon Echo. It doesn’t learn skills, and longer answers to questions require you to look at your iPhone. But you can’t beat it for great sound from a small device.

There is a lot of sound coming out of this little speaker. Its the size of a large orange. Had to use my iPad to set it up because iPhone kept asking to sign in to iTunes for some reason. Once configured can its available to pair with apple devices. Like it so far and would recommend it. I bought the white one but there are other colors.

This tinny speaker will impress everyone. The quality of the sound is clear and the bass strong enough for it size. I bought the orange one for its bright color. I love it. Overall I would like to add more power to its volume. The interaction with Siri through it is really fun.
