The sound qality and Siri assistance is without comparison.

We love our home pod. It’s so versatile. We are an Apple family, but this is so cool. Heh siri.....playing tons of different music, checking the weather, controlling our Phillips Hue lights, cooking timers. And the sound quality. Amazing. Plenty of volume, base, just super.

Best sound effects ,clear vocals, siri is not up to the mark

The speakers are very good. I love the design. I am still learning the many features but so far it proves to be a good product.

while siri isn’t able to do as much as google home, or amazon alexa, it does what i want it to. i am a constant music listener and this speaker is able to seamlessly play music from my apple music library which is super lovely. the bass is exceptional and the quality is crisp. extremely easy to set up, just brought my phone close.

Has the best voice recognition of any Apple product I own. I bought two, one for the living room and one for the bedroom to control our recently installed Smart devices. The coverage provided with just these two speakers allows us to speak at a normal conversational volume in every room in the house and control our lights. Also has the great sound quality you expect from Apple at a fraction of the cost of the full size HomePod.

Great sound for its size and price. I have the original HomePod that cost more, and worth the price because it has an even better sound quality. Because they discontinued it, I bought this HomePod Mini so that I could sync them together. I keep the Mini version in a smaller room. Love playing them together when I’m going back and forth between rooms.

The speaker gets very loud and you're able to sync it with other homepod products, very awesome.

It took way to long for Apple to come to market with their smart mini speaker/assistant, after years of allowing Amazon and Google to dominate the market. That said, it was worth the wait. Way more secure than the Amazon/Google solutions, as requests don't leave your home network unless you request information from Siri. Sound is good when playing music, although I've only tried it with one speaker.

Love it. These things look great in just about any setting/room. The sound quality is top notch, especially if you pair with a second unit. Ease of setting these up is amazing and if you use Apple Home to control smart devices in your home the HomePod is definitely the way to go! Compared to Google Assistant and Alexa it is limited when it comes to the breadth of available knowledge/answers you can get from it from a smart assistant perspective, and as always with Apple products the price is...steep. If you can catch them on sale at Best Buy I highly recommend.

I purchased this to add to my Apple TV and I love how it sounds. It sits on the side table next to my recliner and makes it nice when watching TV as the speaker is much closer than my TV speakers so I don't have to crank the volume up as much. In addition to the speaker functionality I like that I can use Siri with it and use this for things like setting alarms, timers, playing Apple Music etc. Overall, it's been a worthwhile investment for me.

I've been deep into the Apple ecosystem since my first iPod in the early 2000's. We have multiple Apple TV's, iPads, iPhones, 5 Homepod Minis and Airpods. We bought 2 of these to link them as a stereo pair in a room where we are using an Apple TV as our video source on an Epson projector and these were to provide our sound without being an eyesore. These 2 are nestled at the top of our sectional where the couch meets the wall and are barely visible due to the white matching our light grey sectional. Sound quality is good, but not very powerful. I wasn't expecting these to replace home theater speakers, rather just provide the same level as a built in TV speaker. We have 2 children and we find ourselves running these at max volume just to watch a TV show on Peacock. Aesthetics-very nice looking, small footprint. Functionality/Cool factor: We really enjoy being able to use Hey Siri for weather, creating timers, adding tasks to lists, playing movies etc. Very high marks in this category. Reliability: I bough this in July of 2021 and we just noticed that the left speaker of our stereo pair was not working, Had to take to Best Buy for repair. Luckily we are within our 1 year factory warranty period. I've never had an Apple product die on me, not once in 20 years. In summary, these are cool little speakers to play some music on. We have 4 in our downstairs and when people come over we are able to stream the same source to all of the speakers to get that immersive sound effect. Nice integration with the Apple TV for audio source although we do have to manually select them each time. Overall these are really cool speakers that are lacking only in the power category. I wish they hadn't discontinued the original Homepod

I have the original HomePod, so I'm very familiar with how these work. I ordered two of these to use as a stereo pair with an Apple TV in a guest room, and I was surprised by the clarity of music and dialogue. They are much better sounding than any other similarly sized speaker I've owned. They lack a bit of the bass punch of the larger HomePod, but sound fuller than you might expect from a speaker this size.

I purchased the Home Pod mini to use my Mac Mini computer speaker in my small (12x12) office so I don’t have to turn up the stereo (in another room) so I can hear it in my office. Pros: The mini provides much better sound than the Mac Mini speakers and works great for my purposes. It sounds great for its size (and price if on sale). I even think it would beat out some more expensive speakers in this and other categories. It would even work great as a TV speaker (depending on size of room). The larger HPod would be good for this purpose too. It’s great for background music/talk and even to turn it up to jam out to a favorite song in the office, but not likely for parties— it would get drowned out (again, depending on the size of room, purpose and number of people talking). Those considerations are important to me. It also makes for a great speaker phone if routed through continuity. Cons: I don’t like how I can not use it as a microphone to the Mac Mini for recording. This also causes issues for applications like Zoom, Skype, and even Facetime for video. I’ve read why but I don’t quite understand the reasons since you can connect the HPod mini directly to the Mac Mini’s Usbc-3 port. It needs to connect through bluetooth (which it has) to use it this way; otherwise, it has to go through iOS AirPlay or something like that…but not directly through MacOS. I’ve also read it will not support Apple’s new HD music streaming, Dolby Atmos, and Spacial sound, but I also read it will get an update so it can(?) Conclusion: I tried the big HomePod a while ago (to replace the main stereo) and it sounded great. It was not as full sounding or as loud as my current mini shelf system (as it should since it’s a system and not just one speaker), so I returned it. The Mini does not sound as “full” as the larger one but it is just as clear and crisp sounding. An update to utilize Apple’s new services would make this an excellent buy. It’s not a party speaker but that’s not why I bought it (I have that if needed). It works great as the intended computer/office speaker that sounds great for it’s size and category, and at a decent price.

I always wanted the larger HomePods but could never justify the price when compared to the competition. However, this price point made it a no-brainer for me. It is loud, music and podcasts sound great, Siri could be better, and I like that you can pair it with another mini. This also helped me get into the HomeKit with the Thread support. I've had some trouble with U1 and Handoff but nothing troubling.

Excellent sound for the size and it perfectly fits into my HomeKit setup.

Despite its size; it delivers on amazing audio. While the internals have been scaled back from the original HomePod (*likely to keep cost down) it doesn’t compromise what it intends to do and that’s to deliver sound. Voice command is attentive no matter what volume it’s set at. While I’m not a heavy user on “smart” features, I mainly uses this as a music player. It has a 20w adapter to power the unit. Worth the purchase.

This speaker sound is closer to some of the speakers that are offered through magnolia. While I don’t find voice assistants helpful I rarely use Siri and I use the HomePod for a speaker when I have people over. The speaker is very clear with a good amount of bass and the full volume oh my god. No distortion at all. Great quality all around.
