I’m still deciding how I feel about this Home Pod Mini. I want to like it, but the functionality compared to Google Minis seems so limited. Especially when you consider how much more expensive it is. I really wanted to escape the Google ecosystem due to personal feelings towards them, but Apple’s HomeKit just doesn’t have the breadth of support that Google and Alexa have. Don’t get me wrong, the sound is great, and if I had them throughout the house it may be better, but again, the cost makes me hesitate.

For such a little speaker the sound is amazing, and the ease of use

For such a small device, the sound quality is excellent. And, it is easy to move from room to room. So convenient. Its ease of set-up and use is excellent, as well.

It’s really nice and small. But still powerful also cool if you have multiple ones.

Excellent Audio Quality. Totally worth it if you're in the Apple ecosystem and using Apple Music. Spotify support is nowhere near as good at the moment. Additionally, Siri is not as smart as Google Assistant or Alexa. With google assistant i'm able to give multiple commands at once, like "Hey google turn off the lights and turn of the music" With siri i have to say "Hey siri, turn off the lights" then wait, then say "Hey siri turn off the music" It's an extra step but i've gotten used to it with other assitants

The mini is maxi in any way - quality, volume, design, what possibly else you will ask for.

Great smart speaker, really helpful and loud for its compact size

I don't understand how it gets so loud and has so much depth in such a small package. Great for a small room like bathroom or kitchen.

Works as expected. Great sound easy to setup and use.

These are great to keep your tunes flowing throughout the house when you’re going room to room. It also has the intercom feature. We got 4 of these, and I had a little trouble setting a few of them up. Probably user error, though. These will mostly operate out of the IOS Home app on your device. Anytime you get a call on the primary device they are bluetoothed to, you will need to make sure your phone is selected so your conversation isn’t all through the house. They do have a great sound output.

Little speaker is decent. Nothing compared to the original HomePod. It lacks the bass and volume of the original. Also, have had issues with Apple Support in terms of Thread networking. They advertise it for this product, but it’s not fully implemented from what I understand. I have two of these set up as a stereo pair, it helps but still can’t match one original HomePod. I would wait for the next version of the Mini. Siri isn’t any better on it either.

Sounds good, easy setup, and fair price. Plan to buy another soon for another room.

It's been working great for the past few months. To bad Apple didn't release it sooner. The sound quality is actually decent for a small speaker. You can crank up the volume without distortion. I also added a second one, so now there's stereo sound in the room. I've linked it and tested it on our Apple tv, which is in another room. And that really improved the tv sound quality. But I prefer keeping the speakers in the kitchen, which is where we spend a lot of time. Overall, the Seri voice command has been working just fine - as expected. Transferring music from my iPhone to the speaker is a simple 'touch-n-go' process. But I haven't spent much time connecting it to the Home Kit app in order to control a couple of switches/lamps. They say it can be done, but I haven't pursued it yet. When I first installed the speakers there were a number of occasions when it lost a connection to our wifi network. That turned into a hassle getting it connected again (or simply resetting it does the trick). There were reports of similar occurrences about this on different Apple product forums a while ago, but since then there's been a software update. And the wifi signal in our house was improved by our service provider (router was replaced). While there's still an every-once-in-a- while wifi connection glitch, it generally resolves itself on its own within a few minutes. Overall, really good smart speaker at a decent price.
