Good sound quality, horrible function.

Owned for 5 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.When the speaker does what it is supposed to the sound is great, but unfortunately takes a while to get anything playing from your phone. It tires to open a new hub so you can control the HomePod volume and still control your phone volume but it usually can’t keep playing more than 1 song without crashing if not stopping in the middle of the song. And the hub will give you a loading screen and Apple Music will also give you a loading screen and you can’t really do anything while it tried to connect. I’m able to listen to music about 40% of the time when I use this speaker. It just tried to do too much without having the software to back it up so it leads to a lot of headaches and frustrations.

Highly Dissatisfied

I have a JBL Extreme 3 easily outperforms the HomePod. This would be okay for a teenager but again for the price there are definitely better options.

Homepod disappointment

We also hoped the Homepod could compliment our LG GX sound which did not work due to differing volume levels between products. The fixed power cord also limited placement.

Sonos is much better.

I didn’t expect it to be as good as my other Sonos but I wanted a small something for my bathroom but this just wasn’t it. Returned and got a Sonos instead; it’s overkill but way better than this.

Horrible
