I was rather disappointed in the features of the HomePod. Unlike my Google nest mini, I cannot start Spotify music from it, or Apple Music (possibly because I don’t have premium Apple Music); rather, I have to airplay from my phone/other Apple device and it cannot serve as a Bluetooth speaker for a non Apple device. It can’t turn off a light from my smart plug in 15 min (can only turn on/off immediately) and it only has very basic Siri functions where even my iPhone can do more. The only real upsides to it is that it can turn off my bedroom lamp and that it has decent sound quality. Glad I bought it as open box because I would have been even more disappointed if it was full price.

Great speaker!! Has a very small footprint, but sounds amazing. Great build quality, super easy set up. Highly recommend!!

I really like my Alexa but needed an upgrade to fit with my Apple devices. I really like it! I did have some trouble setting it up but it might have just been my WiFi connection.you really get the full experience if you have or are working on having a Apple ecosystem it is really handy, Siri will turn on my lights, play music, pause/play my movie or tv show as well as doing the basics like weather,time,help with questions, etc.

WOW! I got this to replace my Google Home Mini in the bathroom and this is by far better than any of those little speakers. The sound is impressive (could use a little bass) overall and it makes my morning routine so much more enjoyable. Plus with AirPlay 2 you can use it with other Homepods or Sonos around the home and it is truly spectacular. Beyond impressed with how the sound turned out.

I've been using apple product for years. Packs a lot of sound for a small speaker and compatible with all my devices.

Best mini speaker I've used. All my Alexa devices manage to annoy me in some way, with random LED flashes or something to urge me to buy something. HomePod's just work. Although Siri needs some work and they aint't cheap.

Works as my home hub, gives your house Siri basically. Nice to get siri without your phone. Ones linked to my Apple TV and on the wall next to the bed so I can keep quite while watching at night

I Bo it got one thst refused to set up. The first ok utcof box failure of an Apple product for me ever. I took it back and got another one. This one shipped right up, and it’s working fine. Are used primarily for commands for my smart lighting and other things in the house. The song quality is good the construction quality appears to be a first class. If you were in the Apple ecosystem, I recommend this device highly.

First thing -- Apple HomePod is meant for Apple Music subscribers and those who want to listen to music in their house in the background every day, while cooking, working, playing, relaxing and anything else you do at home where music can enhance an activity. (Dancing like no one is watching included.) Second, it is the most useful if you have Apple and/or HomeKit products. You will need an iPhone or iPad to even set it up. Siri may not be the brightest, but frankly I don't need to order an Uber, buy Amazon stuff sight unseen or have a pressing need to know a Ferret's average length. I love the HomePod so much I bought two! Yes, I am anxious for Apple to update the software for stereo and house connected music playing, but I am ok with waiting because I get so much benefit from it now. It is liberating to be able to play music - any kind I wish to hear at any volume I desire - by simply asking Siri. I love adding reminders, using the timer and alarms, and, yes, I have asked Siri to do a measurement calculation for me while I am cooking. I have Hue lights throughout the house and it is wonderful to just speak into the air and have the lights turn off or on. Does anyone really need the convenience ? Of course not. But once you get used to integrating "Hey Siri ...." into your daily life, it feels like it has always been that way. A small step towards the Jetson's way of life. Now if only I could purchase a flying car...

Great product. Works well with other Apple devices. Sound is good. Heavy bass but not enough highs. Recommend buying 2 in order to get the stereo sound.
