I bought the HomePod based upon two criteria: audio fidelity and integration into the Apple ecosystem. The HomePod performs flawlessly in both categories. First, the HomePod integrates easily into the Apple ecosystem. It “plays nice” with two iPhones, an iPad, two Apple TV units, and Apple Music. Setup was a breeze; it was mostly “automatic” in that regard. I had read where others had some difficulty and the setup felt “cumbersome.” I did not share that experience. The HomePod works really well with Apple Music by itself, and with Apple Play on the iPhone, it will play other streaming services and will also play what’s in your music library. Note that this isn’t through Bluetooth, but through WiFi. I use both Siri and Alexa smart services (I also have an Amazon Echo). I find that both services work equally well for me. Admittedly, I don’t have a “smart home,” and my experience with such services is limited. But Siri gives the weather, sets alarms, plays the news, answers questions, etc. as well as Alexa, in my experience. Second, the sound from this little pod is freakin’ AWESOME! I’m a professional, classically-trained musician and audiophile. While not stereo, the sound stage seems deep and spacious. The bass response is fantastic without being muddy or overpowering. The kids are clear and concise. The highs are crisp without being crackly. Overall, a very well-balanced sound. I can only imagine setting two of these up as a stereo pair. My ‘Pod sits in my office, which is about 12’ x 14’ and it fills the room quite easily with music that is linear, smooth, warm and extremely clean — even at high volume. Since the HomePod “hears” the room and its onboard computer automatically adjusts the sound output accordingly for optimal blend and balance, The music is always well-placed and appropriate for the listening space. My musical tastes are quite eclectic, and the HomePod handles most styles with alacrity and capability. The orchestra sounds like you’re in the concert hall. Choirs are transparent and clear. Jazz is smooth and clear, but warm. Ambient and spa music that includes lots of nature sounds are faithfully reproduced. It will even handle the thump and drive of dance and chill tracks. The ‘Pod is surprisingly objective in its color; it doesn’t “favor” one style over another. That said, every speaker system has its inherent “sweet spot.” This one seems to favor ambient/jazz/fusion. The response seems fairly flat to my ear, without a particular EQ tweak in any direction. Since the iPhone has selectable EQ patterns, the ‘Pod will reflect those choices faithfully. The quality of build seems typical of Apple products: robust, refined, sleek, unobtrusive. Fit and finish are flawless. The controls are touchpad type, and they work well. However, the ‘Pod shines when it comes to voice recognition and vocal commands. It has, I believe, 7 microphones, and those ‘phones will hear you — even over loud music — and you don’t have to yell! I got the Space Grey. I can’t imagine the white staying clean. The power cord is fabric-wrapped and of an appropriate length to reach to an outlet without stretching and without coiling up on itself. My ‘Pod is situated about 3 feet from an outlet, on a small table, and the power cord drapes very naturally. Overall, the HomePod is sleek, unobtrusive, and sonically refined. A very capable piece of sound equipment that not only does not disappoint, but will delight the listener. I’m thoroughly impressed with the HomePod.

Excellent color! Plug and play with Apple iphone and amazing sound for a small speaker! Definitely recommend buying this speaker. I believe this soeaker can be paired with other Apple homepods for a studio surround sound experience, which is a hugh bonus.

This mini speaker has great sound coming from it. Also, it is very stylish and well built.

Love the bass and sound on this! Especially cool when you can tap your iPhone to play music.

Great products. Surprisingly amazing speaker quality. Siri could get some love from Apple. The speakers sound almost close to my expensive Sonos set up.

Just bought this for my wife who now works from home daily. We have a stereo pair of the full sized Homepods and really enjoy them. The mini does not come close to the depth of sound as the full sized model, but does retain a very nice sound when compared to other small speakers on the market. Similar to Sonos, you can control individual homepods or the entire group with Airplay. The mini is a great speaker for the price!

I use Spotify and it has a LOT of issues connecting to things that are outside the apple ecosystem

I bought two. One alone has excellent sound. Both in stereo have perfect sound.

Love it, keep buying more. One for every room. It's great if you have a smart home. In each room, you can now more easily send commands. Now, "Turn on the lights in the office" can be replaced with "turn on the lights" because it knows what room it is in. Sound is great. Extremely happy with the purchase. Siri is still not as smart as alexa or google but it does absolutely everything I need out of a voice assistant.

If you've finally surrendered to the notion that you need an always-on listening device in your home just so that you can occasionally shout at it to play "Pump Up the Jam" while you wash dishes or vacuum your dog, then this is the best choice out there. Way too expensive for what it is, but that's Apple. However, if you accidentally activate Siri, you might get some sweet class action money. Worth it!

For the price, this is a very quality speaker and device. We have been so please how easy it is to use. The sound quality is excellent, nearly as good as the much more expensive and larger HomePod we use as well.

Love my HomePod mini! First homepod I've purchased and quality is top-notch as with all Apple products. Will be purchasing more for other rooms in my house as I build out my AppleHomekit smart home.

Great sound for its size and price. I have the original HomePod that cost more, and worth the price because it has an even better sound quality. Because they discontinued it, I bought this HomePod Mini so that I could sync them together. I keep the Mini version in a smaller room. Love playing them together when I’m going back and forth between rooms.

Enjoying the Home Pod mini. Couldn’t justify the expense for the larger original one so I was happy to see them introduce this affordable one. The sound quality is very good and more than sufficient for me. Honestly Siri doesn’t know everything that Alexa does, but I prefer Apple products over Amazon. Also I do wish that anything you played on your iPhone could be played on the Mini but it seems to be limited to Apple Music. Hopefully that will be an enhancement for the future. Bottom line, I am enjoying the Home Pod and would recommend it.

I love this. Set up took like 2 mins and I couldn’t be happier with it. I was previously using Alexa and we fought all the time with settings and verbal commands. The Apple connects, without question, to all my iPhone apps and I haven’t had a problem with one of my requests yet. I use it for several different things including smart plugs, and I plan to get several more to put throughout our home.

Small speaker that sounds great. Cheap enough where a stereo pair isn't too expensive.
