This is my second HomePod . Bought it for stereo pairing with Apple TV . I had been looking for a good Atmos system without breaking the bank . My living room is small so after trying two other sound bars , Sony HTST5000, The Sony got loud (loud doesn’t always equal good ) and a Soundcore Infini Pro (sound like it came from a can ) . I decided to look at something else . This setup works Great ! Now understand this , it’s not a True Atmos system as it lacks up firing speakers however, it simulates Atmos pretty well and fills the room withQuality sound . My only complaint would be that it is limited to the Apple TV 4K and can not be used for my 4K Blu-ray player . I hope that in the near future Apple will allow pairing with the new HomePod Mini for a set of rear speakers for a full immersive experience. Bottom line, if your in the Apple ecosystem it’s kind of a obvious choice. I did get my first HomePod at a ridiculous low price several years ago so that helped ease the pain some .

Easy connection, versatile, affordable, excellent integration with my TV and mobile devices

Hard to connect sometimes, but once it’s learned , it’s not so bad.

I want to like this so much more than I am able to. First the good stuff. This is a fantastic speaker. The HomePod coupled with Apple Music is a great combination. The music fills the room, is rich, and clear. I have tried several standalone speakers, most connecting through Bluetooth, and the HomePod has bested them all in sound quality. Now the not-so-good stuff. Siri, the familiar assistant, is nearly impotent. There’s almost nothing outside of playing music that it has successfully performed for me. And even in the music area it falters. For example, I figured surely Siri and the HomePod could create a station or play an audiobook, but it can’t. At least it can’t play an Audible audiobook (which, honestly, I half expected as Audible is Amazon’s app). Siri can’t do anything in my house with the smart devices I have set up, whereas Alexa is all over it. Alexa is straight up better than Siri by light years. My hope is that Apple will get on the ball and roll out a great update that will drastically improve the HomePod’s assistant abilities...but, I’m not holding my breath. And that’s a shame, because this area seems right up Apple’s ecosystem alley, connecting and supporting all of it’s technology in a well integrated system. This feels like a gaping hole in that system out of which Amazon is siphoning valuable potential. Meanwhile, Amazon’s Alexa is adding Apple Music to its repertoire soon. I’ve adopted Alexa now for my smart home gadgetry, and it’s going to be tough for Apple to pry me loose from it, even if they start showing some love to the HomePod assistant functionality. But, man, that HomePod speaker? And having two in a stereo pairing? Amazing.

Love the sound quality! Has a classy appearance and is able to be linked to multiple pods at once.

Bought this after my friend suggested this, works amazing only thing i wish is that it was wireless

Works better than 1st gen HomePod. Sound is clear. Sometimes Siri doesn't know what she is doing.

I am impressed with the sound from this speaker. I wish the volume could just a tad louder because I like my music loud, but it has a nice sound and deep bass sound. I purchased two. Even though both are not in the same room as recommended for pairing, I can pair both for surround sound (one is in the living room and one is in the bedroom).

Sounds great for its size. It’s a better deal than the full sized HomePod for what I need it to do.
