Awesome sound from such a small package! Great addition to my desktop set up.

Use as my HomeKit hub and works extremely well. No issues. Don’t listen to music much on it. Give it Siri voice commands to turn smart light switches on and off and set up scenes in HomeKit so at night I just say “Hey Siri Goodnight”. All the lights in the house shut off, TV turns off, garage door closes, and front door locks. Feel like I’m George Jetson

First off, understand that the HomePod acts as its own device and not really an extension of your iPhone. You can airplay to the HomePod from your phone but the HomePod will take over the source leaving your phone open to play it's own music. You can control the HomePod from your phone but you have to specifically select the HomePod in the Music app to do so, by default the Phone will show what it is playing on the phone and not the HomePod. Is this a problem, not really but it does take some getting used to. The HomePod will sync to your AppleID so you can access your calendar etc BUT it has its own app for alarms and does not sync to you phone alarms. Viewing the set alarms on your phone is stupid, yes stupid as you have to open the Home App and then open the HomePod. I get the sense that Apple is trying to force you to use Siri to control the HomePod. If this is your thing then you won't have any issues. I had to adapt to using Siri for everything. Also Siri is no Alexa so don't expect it to act like Alexa. Siri is simply not that smart and can't handle commands or actions like Alexa. If you know Siri's limitation's you won't be disappointed. The sound is amazing! Really more than what I expected. My final verdict- I'm going to get another one when Best Buy drops the price back to 199.

I wasn’t sure if I needed yet another smart speaker in my home. I already have Echo and Google Home, but for the price I couldn’t pass up the HomePod mini. The ecosystem integration is pretty neat. I can start music on my iPhone and then hand it off to the HomePod, and vice versa. I’ve already created a stereo pair for my Apple TV with two HomePod minis.

Would highly recommend this than the first one. I am going to purchase multiple ones.

I bought this HomePod Mini to control my smart devices. It works great to turn off the lights. I have a Google home and SIRI does a better job controlling lights and answering questions. For example, when asking SIRI what day today is, it tells you the day of the week and the numeric day, which I care about. Google home just replies what day of the week it is.
