The product works beautifully. The sound is really surprising. I also enjoy arguing with Siri. The One draw back is that it requires an I-pod, I-phone, or I-tablet to set up - and cannot be set up with any other apple device, or if this is your only apple device. I had to borrow a friend's I-phone to set up the device and have some of my functionality limited as a result, but I bought it to play music and keep timers - so, it works enough for me. I am sad that it does not work with the other things apple makes or as a stand alone apple product. I don't like the I-phone, I-tablet, and have no use of an I-pod... so the fact that they chose those to be paired with it, seems odd to me. And I actually DO own a MacBook that I use for work and drafting articles. Sadly, Apple missed the concept on fore-thought with this item. The only hard part about setting up this thing was finding someone with an I-device I could use.

Happy with Apple HomePod. We use it in our Smarthome with verbal commands to control many of our lights. The speakers have pretty good sound for being such a small unit. Setup was very easy since all our products in our home are "Apple" it was a breeze!

So I was Skeptical about buying this over all the other smart homes because mainly of price but the sound quality alone was worth the price. Knowing that the other products from Amazon and Google that listen to your conversations was a no go for me so I wanted something else and the only other option was Apple, in which I do own a Apple phone so in my opinion it was a no brainer. After the couple hiccups I ran into not knowing that the phone and speaker needed to be on the same network, I was able to enjoy it at its full potential. Having Apple Music and Apple TV, I notice i was able to use any Apple product I wanted to connect to the speaker via airplay. So not only can I use it for Apple Music but if I’m watching tv, movie etc I can use it as a sound bar which is so cool I give this product a 10/10 for sound 6/10 for being a smart device when coming down to knowledge and a 10/10 for the other known features.

I miss the full sized HomePod but a pair of these are a good option for Siri and hone control plus Apple Music.

My life has not been the same since I purchased this device! The sound of music is amazing! Not only this, but all kinds of data and instant notifications are at the availability of a mere command. It is pricey, but it in terms of sound alone, it is worth the price!

If you considering this speaker, you've probably already read reviews or watched reviews on YouTube. The speaker sounds great! There are smart features there, but not nearly as much functionality as the competition. These features will come with software updates, just like Google Home which launched with a lackluster skill set. Fortunately for me, I'm not that concerned with asking Siri a bunch of questions...although making a call or adding items to my calendar are head-scratchingly missing. (Yes I made up a word!) If you are in the Apple ecosystem, this speaker will be a great addition. Some might want to wait for software updates to add more functionality, but why wait...it's not going on sale (this is Apple).
