It has great sound for music but it’s very buggy needs a lot of updates before it’s ever perfect. The voice recognition is a irritating nuisance it won’t learn and remember your voice for the death of you. Siri you ask a question and she’ll tell you to ask your iPhone. The only thing it does okay is play music and it isn’t even perfect it will stop playing music on its on all the time

This speaker has added some good fun to our household. The sound is very good. It is very convenient in the kitchen or somewhere else to control Apple Music. We do move it around to wherever we need it. I haven’t really explored the “smart speaker” features much. The configuration through the Home iOS app is awful. It lacks manual configuration such as which wireless SSID to connect to. I have been unable to get voice recognition to work for one member of our family. iOS simply refuses to produce the “recognize my voice” option on their iOS devices. The speaker itself does not work for this person when saying “I am xxxx”, then asking “who am I?” produces “I don’t know” for that person, but it works for the rest of us. It’s a major feature that simply doesn’t work for everyone in the house. I purchased it mainly for convenient Apple Music controlled by Siri and good sound which it does well. Music is quite pleasing out of it. I hope that the software and configuration options come along in time. Apple needs to realize that we do, in fact, want to have access to device configuration, especially as new generations grow up with computing.

I like it a lot. Good sound, I get for my son and like a lot too.

Love this for my smaller bedroom. Have the larger HomePod for a more cinema experience and this is a nice addition.

I love this device. It receives much criticism because of it not being the smartest speaker out there. However, the quality is phenomenal. I use it to play music and do simple alarms, or turn off smart plugs. I do not ask the fun questions you can ask other home assistants. I can say “Hey Siri play songs I like” and it chooses personalized music for me that I enjoy. *DISCLAIMER* I would NOT PURCHASE unless you have an Apple Music subscription. There are still many things you can do with this device, and it can still stream sound from your phone no matter what app you are using. However, I have found it’s peak performance is with the Apple Music subscription. Overall I have really loved this product. I even bought one for my parents to have at their house, along with a friend who has people over often and has an Apple Music subscription she is always using. Would 100% recommend.
