I love this speaker and for its size the sound is awesome! I know it’s not high fidelity but if you’re in the Apple ecosystem then they’re a great addition. This was my 2nd speaker, I have one on my first floor and one on my second floor and I’ve been amazed on how well the microphones works for voice commands my lights are automated and the speaker picks up the commands even when I’m in another room. Also from what I know your privacy is much better off than other products and I’m willing to pay extra for that. Just hope it gets smarter in the future.

Sounds great, hard to control on phone unless you’re using Apple Music.

Home Pod may be small in size but huge with the bass sound output!

Mediocre smart speaker... AMAZING sound! If you want it for asking it complicated questions or even complex commands it sucks. This is a speaker first a smart assistant last. I bought these to connect to Apple TV as a home theater setup, it works great. I ask it to play music, ping my iPhone, pause/play what's on Apple TV or other minor things and it works great. The music out of this thing is incredible not one hint of distortion, sounds crisp, almost real like if I was there with the instruments. It's my favorite gadget in the house! I highly recommend if you want them for music and not for smart features.

I mainly bought this as a hub for my apple homekit. I was going to get the new Apple TV 4K, but didn't need another smart-tv device. This works well for my needs. I also deactivated the "Hey Siri" functionality, since it was sometimes getting triggered by the TV that's above it.

I like it but the only thing is you need WiFi to use it. I tried use for work but the WiFi their was not compatible with the HomePod. So I will have to return it because I can’t use for what I bought for. To use at work. It did sound very nice but I don’t need another speaker at home.

These were easy to set up and the sound that comes out of them is fantastic.

I purchased the Homepod to replace my Denon receiver and bookshelf speakers. The sound quality and compact size of the Homepod is amazing. It's sound better than my old equipment and takes up a fraction of the space.

Got this for my GF she loves it and uses it all the time. She isn't big on sound quality so I cant say much about that. she enjoys the walkie talkie feature and usually uses it as a speader and to set up event and alarms. Shes been using it every day since the end of December 2020

I can't believe the sound quality of the HomePod. I was expecting it to be good and being sort of an audiophile I figured with it only being one speaker that it would be good but nothing that great. Boy was I wrong, it's AMAZING the kind of sound this little guy can pump out. And the quality and fullness of the sound is nothing short of extraordinary. It may not be the smartest speaker in the world, but the sound quality is what this thing was meant for and in that regard it blows away the competition. And to be fair it's good on the smart side of things too.

We needed a hub for our smart home devices, and it was either this or apple TV. We didn't have a need for Apple TV since all of our TV's are smart TV's, and our living room TV (LG CX 55") already has an Apple TV app. It can hear you from a pretty good distance and is very fast to do whatever you ask it to. We don't use it much as a speaker, since we use our living room surround sound for that, but when we tested it out it definitely pumps out a lot of sound as well as a decent amount of bass for something of its size. Overall, I would recommend it if you can get it on sale, like I did (199.99 instead of 299.99). Or just wait until the next generation comes out.

HomePod speakers are a little different than your typical wireless speakers. They use WiFi, not Bluetooth for transmitting sound. While WiFi has the bandwidth needed to transmit all of the music, I wish that using Bluetooth was an option. I bought a pair of HomePods as I wanted full stereo sound. In this case, two HomePods are at least three times better than a single one. In my opinion, I've never heard speakers of this size that have such deep, full bass. The problem is Apple's software support for HomePods with AirPlay. They work well with iTunes and independently using Siri, but no other Mac software supports HomePod as a stereo pair. That means that no Safari-based music can use them. When Apple updates Mac OS to work with stereo HomePods, I would probably give the product five stars.

Love Apple products, but I’m a bit disappointed. I hate having to change locations because this always need WiFi and takes it forever to boot. The sound is great. I also like the fact it pairs with your phone for Siri. I also use this with my Apple TV to bring the sound to me when I’m further away.
