I Would Suggest Buying Multiple For The Household Especially If You Have Apple TV Hardware! Works Well With Smart TV's Via Airplay Also. A Must HAve For Any Apple Music User!

Honestly these aren’t worth $100 no matter how you look at it. Their sound quality isn’t as good as the Nest Audio, which regularly goes on sale, their WiFi performance is so poor that music regularly starts stops and crackles, and being airplay only locks you into Apple’s ecosystem. Their only real potential use is being a glorified $100 light switch through your home if you’ve gone all in on HomeKit. If you have not shackled yourself to Apple permanently, look at literally any other smart speaker in the same class, because it’ll be better than these.

So glad that I did not believe some of the negative reviews. I love this thing! Understand, I am in the Apple ecosystem. I have approx. 40 GB of music ripped to my iTunes library, and music purchased from Apple. All of it is in the iCloud. I also subscribe to Apple music. That said.....The sound is outstanding. Set up was so easy. (I'm mid-60's, so often new tech stuff can carry quite the set-up time for me.) 2 minutes and I was rockin out. I can play all of my music, even stuff not on Apple Music, although I read you can't do that. I specifically asked Siri to play an album that I knew was not on Apple Music, and it worked. Perhaps because it is in the cloud. Bottom line, I'm diggin it!

While I will typically jump on the Apple product bandwagon no matter what the item is, I was a little leery of getting the HomePod when it originally was released. The price was high and it just didn't make sense to me that I needed something like this since I had other Bluetooth speakers. I started having problems with my Apple HomeKit items so I ended up getting this HomePod for the purpose of using it as a hub. It has worked perfectly well for this purpose and it's been great when we've had people over at our house, too. I can't recommend the HomePod enough. The speaker is top notch and the HomePod has not failed once in controlling our HomeKit products.

Good little speaker with control of HomeKit accessories. Must be plugged into an outlet (no internal battery) due to being a voice command device. If you don’t use Apple Music or have HomeKit accessories, can get better speaker that is portable for the same price.

You need to get this on sale. It is crazy expensive. That being said it has great sound. It vibrates the surface it sits on to produce bass not expected of such a small speaker. Great for a room.

As far as digital assistants go, Siri often gets dogged compared to Google and Amazon. Part of Siri’s limitation though, is Apple protecting your privacy a bit better than the other players. I can say that Siri is the only one smart enough to know what room it is in. You say “turn off the lights,” and it knows enough to turn off the room lights it is assigned to. As a speaker, none of the other devices are even close. HomePod fills a large room and actually sounds good.

Awesome sound quality for the price! Only issue is that outside of speaking directly to Siri or touching the touchscreen on the top of the HomePod, the song / playlist selection, and pause / play / track skipping using your iPhone is absolutely NOT intuitive. If you start playing music on your iPhone using the Music app and bring your iPhone close to the HomePod, the music resumes playing on the HomePod like magic. You then go to the music app to pause audio or adjust volume or change song and NOPE... you have to go into the Home app to do that. Totally makes sense Apple... NOT.

It’s a good speaker if you can get it to connect , so hard for me to connect and I have everything Apple , way to complicated maybe I got a bad one not sure but when it’s connected sound is good and quill it y seems to be good !

I know I’m a little late to the party, but I just picked up the HomePod. I love it! Great sound and easy to set up. If you love music, I highly recommend it!

Terrific sound quality and easy to use and setup up. If you are in the Apple ecosystem and your main goal is sound quality, I would highly recommend this. Siri is a mixed bag. RIDICULOUS microphone sensitivity with beam forming that can pick up your commands speaking at normal volumes in noisy environment and at a near whisper at distance in a quiet room. Siri on HomePod though is a not nearly as capable as on your phone which is disappointing. Is good for HomeKit control though.

Picked this up for an event that I was having outside and it was easy to set up the blue tooth, used my iphone and played music throughout the night! The sound was fantastic and carried out perfectly even though it was close to an outlet so there wasn't a lot of mobility on where you could place it. Now it is by home entertainment center and I play music from time to time. The Hey Siri function works great and the music sounds great in any part of the home. Another benefit is that I have it on a glass side table which I thought wouldn't sound so great but there is no change when placing it on a glass versus something like a hardwood table. Happy with the purchase!

Apple hit it out of the park with the Homepod. The sound quality this speaker puts out is second to none, especially for its size. I am very satisfied with this purchase.

Hola! I have been using the HomePod mini 4 about a month and I find it extremely efficient, user friendly, and just awesome. Please do continue to out do yourselves Apple and above all remember the Lord. Ya!

I got this primarily as a speaker for the kitchen to listen to while I cook or while we eat. It serves that purpose well. As far as a smart speaker goes, it's got Siri, so anything you are used to with Siri you can use on the speaker.

I bought this at a great price for Black Friday. I love the HomePod! I use it everyday. Very easy to setup and connect to other items around the house. It sounds amazing.
