The HomePod is a great choice, sound quality is amazing! Definitely works as it should and beats the google Alexa that I have.

In my opinion, unless you're in the apple eco system I don't see why pay more than the others.

Please make sure that you are aware that this is an Apple product and only works with Apple and Siri. As for the speaker itself the sound is amazing!

Sound quality is good for a small speaker, but make no mistake, this is a small speaker... a small mono speaker. It will fill a space with music, but don't expect it to fill a room, unless the room is a closet or you have two to make it stereo. That's just the physics of sound. While you can manually stream any music or music service you like to HomePod via a Mac or iDevice you can only use Siri voice control to control music playback (performer, genre, etc) if yo have Apple Music or iTunes Match. It cannot be used to control HomeSharing, if you use that on your Apple devices. You can control volume though no matter what the source of your music. HomePod only works with AirPlay. There is no way to connect via Bluetooth or a wire. My big disappointment with HomePod, and why I ultimately gave it 2 stars, is that it's microphones to summons Siri are way too sensitive. HomePod can hear me even on floor down. The result, if I "Hey Siri" a question to my iPhone on the table in front of me, HomePod upstairs will answer. There is currently no setting in iCloud to lower Siri's sensitivity or disable completely and let another iDevice act as a remote. That would solve that problem. Bottomline: if you have bought into Apple Music and no chance of switching to a different service HomePod may be a good option, depending on whether you use Hey Siri on your other devices. For everyone else, while maybe not as good sounding, Sonos One with Airplay 2 support offers more versatility in connections and streaming service options.

I love the speaker I use it all the time too bad it's discontinued, hope new model comes out. Works best as a pair.

Bought 3, 1 for my living room and 2 more for other rooms. They were $100 off so $199 each at the time, but I wouldn’t buy them at $299.

Since I have received this iPod I have connected my iPad, my Computer, my iPhone & I can play & listen music from any device. My life has become more comfortable.

For $199 such a nice sound! I returned back to iPhone because HomePod:) it doesn’t work with Android:( And BestBuy one day Free delivered!

This speaker sounds great and I can easily stream from my iPhone and Mac. Our house now has background music. I wish I had a second one for stereo.

I love playing my music from my iPhone. Love setting alarms and using with the TVs for surround sound. Just a really great product, I need another one!!!!!

As my summary says— it’s great but you do need a subscription. Setup is simple the sound is excellent. However, it would be “greater” if Apple supported tunein radio and if the speaker/s had a hdmi port to connect to your tv.

Such a pleasure to see the enjoyment my husband receives listening to his oldies and country music. Can’t believe the quality of the sound.

If you are in the apple ecosystem and want a really good speaker this is it. There are other good ones but within the Apple eco system I love this ine

Man I really wanted to love this thing. We used to have the Alexa home devices, then google, then these.... Maybe it's just the type of product, but they are almost all bad. It plays music, and sometimes understands the voice commands for weather and lights, but outside of that it's not a great product. The sound will sometimes lose the L or R signal (when not paired as a PAIR, just standalone) so music sounds pretty bad most of the time. The device is also not intuitive to a degree, that there are various settings you have to change just to not have it take over your music control from your phone or mac. Theres also no hierarchy system with sound proximity, so you can ask Siri for something, and it'll be a crap shoot which room responds to you if you live in a smaller house. Unsure, but the product just feels half baked.

It’s hard to believe how good the sound is on this device. If you want basic info and great music, this is the device for you. It is not meant to be like it’s competitors.

Good sound in a small package and by getting two, you can great stereo sound.

As people had said, sound is good. The amazing thing is how much better Siri is now. You can command it very easily from across the room and not raise your voice.
