Having trouble connecting this to my HomeKit, a little confusing

Was expecting a greater soud but pretty mediocre For apple

The bass of HomePod it's astonishing, and Siri can hear you no matter how loud it is your music. It would be better if there were more devices compatible with HomeKit but I think this is a matter of time. I love it.

I was expecting a better device that would connect to diffrent online radio apps. I can't command it to connect to anything other than Apple Music. Was hoping it would be similar to the Amazon Alexa. It works great for apple only!

So easy to connect! Has great sound and fills the room

Music is really good. Siri can recognize the voice even at a distance. Very useful device to get update on weather, personal schedules, reminders.

Love the Apple HomePod! I just wish that it was able to filter the music that it plays better so I do not have to listen to music with profanity.

Ok sound quality works best with two and an Apple TV

Love the HomeKit interface from door bell chime, to Security alarm. Matches perfectly with my Apple TV 4K and my LG Nano9. Will definitely purchase another for Stereo.

I was really stoked about this product, but Apple decided to release it without competitor-based features. The ONLY way to play music on this this thing is based on what Siri can access/understand. What I mean by this is Siri’s ability to access and read iTunes purchases and/or ripped music. For example, I requested Siri to play “Nutshell” by Alice In Chains on my iPhone X. It was ripped from my 20 year old CD. The first time I asked, I got a response of “I can’t do that. It’s not your library” when it actually was. I waited 10 mins and tried again only for her (it?) to play the “Unplugged”version instead of the “Jar of Flies” version. Eventually, after 5 attempts of asking her to play, did she play the studio version. It was at this point I realized I had zero control over what music I can play with this thing. There is no option to use the HomePod as a Bluetooth speaker or with ANY other streaming service other than Applemusic. Lame. This thing was released before other market-standard features are available to it (or will be (??)). I promptly returned my unit within an hour of buying it as the asking price for the functionality available is ridiculous. My advice? Wait for the 3rd generation as it should be cheaper and more feature rich than thing.

Great Speaker! If you are looking to get a bluetooth speaker for your iPhones, it works great. If you are looking for it to work like the google speakers or alexa, the homepod does not work like that. Simple questions can be asked, I can run most of my lights and stream music.

I was excited about this speaker that the sales rep spoke of So I purchased it and I’m not happy one bit. The item will not stay connected to the Wi-Fi and it is so temperamental to hook up to WiFi To be honest I wish I never purchased the speaker

Eh. We bought it because our alexa echo dot finally died. We are an Apple household and thought this would make the most sense to purchase. Less than wow’d. On the alexa we could play music and leave it going for our dog while we were out but this won’t. If my wife plays music on it the music will stop once she tried to play music from her phone in the car. From what I’ve read this is only possible with an “Apple family sharing plan” which is stupid.we thought we’d be saving the money we were paying for Amazon music because we already have Apple Music. Nope now if we choose to do this it links all of our Apple purchases to one account and we will be shelling out $30 a month. I’d give it zero stars if I could. Apple dropped the ball on this one.

Love the HomePods. Have them all connected with multiple stereo pairs through the house. Seamless integration with Apple TV, iPhones, and iPads Wait for the sales.

Got this speaker when it was on sale. The sound quality is better than all of its competitors including Amazon Echo and Google Home. However, it falls short on the Siri part: bad voice recognition, cannot search the web, and limited music streaming services.
