I regret buying this - the Apple integration with other smart products isn't as deep as Amazon. I knew this going in so added a HOOBS box running Homebridge. Even after tinkering for weeks, it's just not as reliable and definitely not user friendly. I have about 12 smart lights, 15 smart outlets, smart TVs, smart alarm system, 12 smart cameras, smart thermostat, smart garage door openers, smart vaccum, smart window blinds, AppleTvs... the list goes on. I was even willing to pay for Apple Music's monthly service but Amazon's allowing 3rd party Pandora/Spotify/etc is just a more easy, broad range. I really wanted to like it but just don't.

The device isn’t mobile. It cant be unplugged from AC power. The JBL soeakers are far superior in this area. The device keeps teverting back to apple music & would play the same song each time it reverted back to apple. I don’t use Apple Music. I use spotify. It wouldn’t stay connected to spotify. The “Spatial Audio” needs improvement. The speaker isn’t loud.

Apple product itself is great. BesyBuy and sales help NOT, Salesperson told me to watch YouTube’s if I wanted to know anything about the product I was looking at?????Disappointing.

Use Siri for all the smart home device controls, works really well with lights, sockets, aircon etc and it’s a good speaker. Getting it with some discount, was a good bonus.

We switched to an Apple-based product… We have switched to an Apple-based product after we found out how vulnerable google is to hacking. Have been very pleased with our purchase.

I really liked this at first since it enabled me to operate my smart home devices while being outside the house. But with the 17.3 update, Apple removed the ability to disable auto-play when you bring a device near the homepod. As a result, music randomly blasts as I walk into the room and there is nothing you can do about it. My return window expired one day ago too.

my friends and family love using it so much we’d like to use it as a mini speaker from when we have family over

This is Apple’s response to Alexa. It’s practical and responds well. I have it in the kitchen and use it mostly to stream music while I cook. I also use it to set timers. I like it. I would have given it 5 stars if it was just a bit louder.

I already had 2 Amazon Echos, and a Google Mini, but I use Apple Music, on my iPhone, so a HomePod was a simple addition. A friend already had 2 of them, and loves them....and he's my Music Go 2 Guy.

definitely a good buy if your looking for a nice portable speaker for the backyard or something, plus if you also have some phillips hue lights you can adjust lighting through the hey siri feature

Message”HomePod is being configured.additional settings will be available shortly...” Now 10 days past I still see the same issue and called Apple for hour but they can’t fix it!

Terrible product. The original hompeod is user friendly with seamless connectivity. I get very frustrated trying to get this thing to work. Taking it back to the store tomorrow.

A must accessory if you are engulfed in the Apple ecosphere. I can just call orders over to Siri and she handles it. Theres definitely room for growth with device but for now I accept all it's capable of.

This product is decent but I expected more. It is not the easiest to use and often times it plays music that I haven’t selected on my phone. I also think it connects to my neighbors’ phones.

Already had 3 of them. Needed 1 more to make 2 stereo pairs. Since you can’t get them easily anymore. I’m sure they’ll come up with a newer one in 2022.

I love the fact you can tell it to play from your apple music. Sound is ok. Love that you only have to hold iphone over it to play music from Pandora or anything playing on iphone.

It’s hard wired. Usability is seriously affected by the lack of a battery. Setup is simple, but actual use is a pain.

I bought this and returned after a few days. It is a great sounding speaker. It is great if you use Apple Music, I do not. I have other smart speakers that sound pretty good for less money. Siri needs work still.

I’m so loving my Apple HomePod. I have it setup in my master bedroom. Sounds amazing! I got it for a great price $199, and it’s totally worth it. Thank you, Best Buy!

So far I'm on the fence whether this was worth purchasing or not. It has it's pros and cons for sure, but probably more pros than cons. I need more time for a better evaluation. I'm sure it can do more than what I'm technologically capable of.
