I’m enjoying my HomePod! My daughter enjoys it also. Wife couldn’t care less. Haha. Great sound in such a portable design - sounds great and fills the room. I do not plan on using it for home security, lights, etc. Just using mainly as a Bluetooth speaker/music player, to check current/future weather...it’s essentially unnecessary for me but there may be more options for usage in the future. I bought it on a whim while already belonging to the Apple eco so it felt like it made sense. I almost gave it 3 stars. 1 less star because it isn’t very “special” to me (yet) and 1 less star for no battery option. I’d like for it to be portable. I almost did not purchase it because of the “no battery” option. BUT...I’ll go 4. It’s a weak 4; more like a strong 3.5 or 3.7. Do you think Best Buy will sell the Apple EV in a few years? Lol

This speaker does more than play music. Paired with my AppleTV it produces great sound and the intercom feature when using multiple HomePod minis is nice.

Excellent sound quality for such a small device. Easy to set up and work with my Apple TV.

Nice sale price on a great product! I find that these link great from room to room throughout the house regardless if I’m using airplay or apple supported app. Only complaint is Apple no longer makes bigger ones

These little guys pack a super clear and loud sound for their size. I own a couple of the larger HomePods and this new little brother is quite comparable. Built 1st for sound...2nd for easy automation...3rd for answering my questions and providing answers. I use my HomePods mainly for awesome music sound throughout the house, an intercom system between rooms, a sound system for my television (using an Apple TV), and an ambient sound maker for my little baby and kids to help them sleep soundly at night. I also love that it is portable enough that I can easily use it on the back patio or anywhere else there is a power plug. Well worth the money!

Surprising sound from a small package. Works great for single room sound, or for the whole house when you have more spread throughout.

Great addition to the HomePod family. It is a perfect size and it delivers great sound. The price could be a bit $10-20 cheaper. Overall I would highly recommend for any Apple fan.

The fidelity of this speaker is wide in the mids and highs, while the lows are surprisingly ok. It’s a great way to have Siri in your home and sounds better than an echo dot.

I purchased this item as a gift and it did not disappoint. This is a great product and the sound is great. Its small so easily can be moved from place to place. Highly recommend.

I bought this as a way to use a conference call device with AIrPods ease of connection with my iPhone during Covid Work From Home. Its fine w /that respects but the audio quality on my ThinkPad work PC is still superior. But it works as a nice peripheral for Macbooks. Sound quality is solid, but you can probably find better audio quality on other devices at this price point. It lacks the clarity or richness of a Sonos One (which was weirdly the expectation I had for this device) The advantage of this would be the stereo matching of another HomePod but I'm reluctant to spend another $99 for this, especially with Siri still far behind than the range of Alexa or the depth of Google search within Google Home. If Apple were to adjust down to $79, they'd move much more of these.

Simple and Elegant. It fills the room and should not be main tv speakers, but good for casual music and audio book listening. It does great with calls as well.

This smaller HomePod puts out excellent sound. I have not tried pairing two of them to enable the stereo sound. However one by itself in a room sounds amazing. With that being said it’s sound is not on the same level as the larger HomePod. If you want something you can crank up and have bass come from, then you’ll want the regular HomePod. I have two regular ones so I decided to get these in order to add to my Apple ecosystem and have more speakers throughout the house to play music from as I move about. Or have a way to control Apple enabled devices throughout my home, if my phone wasn’t nearby. Overall I would recommend this speaker.
