So far I am really liking this and using it to replace Alexa. The only reason for the good vs excellent rating is that the speaker sometimes will just lose it’s connection or so and music will stop playing. I’ve heard it has less features or Siri is not as good but it does what I need. Tells me the time, weather, let’s me set timers and stream music or video audio to it. Overall though for the price the sound quality is great and on par if not better than the Amazon Echo we had before.

Love it! it's the best speaker ever! The sound system and a pristine. Hosted a few small gatherings and movie nights at home the the speakers projected the sound incredibly. Very satisfied with my purchase and totally recommend.

I was skeptical about getting 2 of these for my bedroom Apple TV for some surround sound but i take it back. Putting 2 of these together was the best choice. The spacial Audio in a bedroom is amazing. Small but mighty.

Exponentially better than Echo and the Alexa mesh mess. Sound quality alone is worth the switch. But also enjoy fewer devices and have found the Apple home system to be more dependable and non-intrusive. Was slow to switch. Glad I did. This was the first component.

I bought this Home Pod mini to replace an old Beats Pill speaker that stopped working. While the sound is great and Siri is super helpful, it wasn’t exactly what I was looking for. First of all, it has a cord. I’m not real excited about the cord and it needing to be plugged in. Pictures don’t show the cord nor was it mentioned, so when it arrived I was very disappointed. Feel like Apple could’ve done better here.

Sadly this review is a moot point as Apple has now discontinued the original HomePod. It was learning of this announcement that I decided to snap up the last remaining pair at my Best Buy store as I really wanted to set up a stereo pair. Although I would've preferred to get them in Black, they only had White ones remaining. But given the audiophile sound quality that these babies put out, I can live with the color. You absolutely have to hear these to believe them... I have no idea what kind of magic they use to get the incredible clarity, separation, and bass extension out of something so small, but it's quite something to behold. Too bad they stopped making them.

Great for small room and for Apple ecosystem users. But one can get a better airplay speaker value from JBL Link among others for less money when on sale. I doubt the auto room calibration is going to make that much of an impact but still $99 isn’t bad for an Apple audio product

I really want to give this speaker 5 stars. The sound is phenomenal, the functionality is phenomenal...however....the first month I had this device, I was plagued with constant issues keeping my devices connected to the speaker. I use this device 99% of the time with airplay from my iPhone X. During this month, I could not play music for more than about 30-45 minutes before I would lose connection to it. The HomePod would not drop off if my network, it was almost like it would start rejecting traffic from my iPhone. I tested this on an iPhone X, iPhone 6s, iPad Pro, and from iTunes on a windows based computer. I set the HomePod up on its own wireless network (different access point than my main) that was very close to it to verify the signal was strong, but the issue still occurred. After a couple factory resets and making some changes to my home hub settings, this issue *seems* to have disappeared. I have also revamped my home network to a Ubiquiti one, so that might also be a factor. Either way, the speaker still sound absolutely stunning. Especially the bass that this little can is able to create.

I now have three of these and love the sound, price and convenience they have.
