Great purchase! I purchased two Apple - HomePod mini's and connected them as a stereo pair to the AppleTV in my office. Great sound! I'm glad I made this purchase. Good sound and value for the price!

Excellent sound, perfect design, and the price is right

Purchased many of these… forgot how many. But they are scattered around my home and produce great coverage for music and for listening for when I need to activate my home devices (such as lights and such).

Good sound quality. Have to find device regularly to connect. Wish it would connect automatically.

As expected w/ Apple, this design is great! We purchased because we were interested in pairing w/ another HomePod mini to replace our existing sound bar. It worked really great as a replacement for that and if you have other Apple devices its nice that your an easily AirPlay to these HomePods w/o any issues. The only downside is that there is not a lot of base — so if you want base w/ your movies and music this might not wok for you.

My fiancé got a bunch of these for the house but I really wanted one for my office and I noticed this one seemed newer and nicer than the others and was easy to set up I recommend these for a really cool speaker setup that’s pretty affordable and easy to add on over time

This is easily the most useless and unsuccessful Apple product I’ve owned. It’s the first time I’ve felt genuinely undersatisfied with an Apple purchase. Apple markets HomePod as offering “seamless transfers,” but that only applies to music. You cannot transfer or use it for app-based calls like Zoom, Teams, or WhatsApp. A basic $30 Bluetooth speaker can handle those without issue. In that sense, this is objectively worse than a cheap speaker. Sound quality is not impressive either. It’s fine, but nothing special, and in my experience not better than an Amazon Echo. For the price, it’s overpriced and underwhelming. The behavior is also unreliable. It randomly starts playing music without any clear trigger, and when that happens, you often can’t even stop or control it properly from the phone. This has happened multiple times, and it feels unpredictable and buggy. Connection with a Mac is unstable. You cannot rely on it as a permanent external speaker. It disconnects, fails to reconnect, and generally does not behave like a normal audio device. Bottom line: this is not a smart speaker in any practical sense. It’s a very restricted music appliance with confusing limitations that Apple does not clearly disclose. Honestly, a $15 knockoff Bluetooth speaker would be more versatile and seamless for everyday use. Extremely disappointing.

The HomePod mini sounds great and pairing it with a second one, improves the experience a ton. I have a couple of the regular HomePod as well, but you don't always want to take up as much room or needs as much of a thump as the big one. Put a few of the minis throughout the house to fill in the gaps and the whole family is enjoying it.

I switched my entire house full of Echo devices over to Apple's Homekit. Great sound that is true to the music and not just loud and inaccurate as Echo's seem to do. Mainly after returning to the iPhone and it's iOs hemisphere it's just safer in my opinion. I do not trust Amazon any longer after silencing conservative voices.

This as a speaker is good, but if you don’t use Siri often, it’s no better than buying a dedicated speaker. I have a Bose S1 Pro speaker that is louder, but that one is more expensive. Also, I think the Google Home speakers are louder. If you do use Siri, this is great. It can hear you even if you speak at normal volumes at a distance. It works especially well if you have Apple Music, as you can ask Siri to play whatever song you want. If you haven’t invested heavily in other Apple products, then there isn’t much appeal here. On the other hand, if you do have iPhones, iPads, Apple TV’s, and Macs in your house, you will enjoy adding this product to the lineup. It also holds up well over time, given that the hardware in this product is from the time of the iPhone 6 or 6s. It still sounds good and there isn’t any lag that I’ve noticed.

I bought a 2nd HomePod mini after being impressed with the first. I use one of them to play music and white noise in my child’s bedroom and the other to control lights and other smart home equipment. They sound much better than the Amazon Echos they replaced, and they integrate well with the Apple ecosystem.

It integrates well with the rest of the Apple products I have. Luckily the price is okay compared to other speakers on the market, if it were any more expensive it wouldn’t be worth it to me. That why the original HomePod was discontinued. It was way overpriced.
