Plug and play. Bought this for my elderly mother. Its so simple to use! Love the fact that you can just bring your phone near it and it connects! Cant wait to see the other features in action.

Initially I wasn't sure about purchasing this speaker, as it is a first generation product. I bought is as an open box in excellent condition and it has blown me away ever since setting it up. I activated my 3 month trial of Apple Music, as I had previously used Spotify everyday, I have to say that I love using Apple Music. The sound of this speaker, which I set up in my living room is incredible. It is loud and clear. The depth and richness of the music produced is amazing. In comparison to my Sony smart speaker, I can really feel and hear the bass in my music. I am hoping for bluetooth connectivity in the future, but that being said, it works seamlessly with all of my apple products. I connected it to my apple iMac as well and have not used my regular speakers since. If you can find it on sale or purchase as an open box it is a great buy! I also enjoy casting my playlists on You Tube to it. Enjoy!

I’m not expecting much on this tiny speaker but I’m very satisfied with the performance of the speaker. The sound is great for a small speaker. Don’t expect to have the base to sound like a sub but it’s there. For your regular listening and podcast is good. As for the smart capability, don’t really expect anything good. Just treat it as small speaker. It can help you with some of your smart devices and answer basic questions.

As always apple products just work. For the size the sound is great. A little bass heavy for my taste, but works great for my use case.

Love this. I have it in my kitchen and use it for when I can’t use my hands for something. I play music from it, can unlock my front door, control my lights and cameras, and it allows me to access my home while I’m away. This serves as a hub for my home with Apple HomeKit

Love this! Purchased and have used it daily since. Great for playing music around the house. Great sound quality! Love being able to play music and adjust volume with voice commands.

Affordable compared to the OG HomePod. Not as much bass but better quality sound than a echo dot, certainly. With thread, Bluetooth and other IoT devices will be able to connect to it with good response time, broader reach without clogging up your WiFi (bandwidtb). - definitely recommend if in the Apple ecosystem.

Amazing sound quality and bass for a small speaker!

Easy to set up and use. Sounds amazing for its size.

The device itself, and the sound quality is awesome. I’ve wanted a home pod, and with this more affordable one, decided to try it. Turns out I use it mostly for listening to music whenever I’m in the kitchen cooking. The intercom feature is cool, but I need more pods to really be able to call the rooms when food is ready.

Great size, descent volume, not a lot of base, but for close listening its good.

Even though I bought it refurbished it has been the best. I enjoy be able to listen to music as its seprate from my phone audio.

I think it sounds great, my issues with the HomePod are: 1.) It has Bluetooth built in but no way to directly connect a device outside of airplay. 2.) If there are multiple users switching isn’t always seamless, at times it wouldn’t even show up as a device to stream to. 3.) It’s authorized under the person who sets up MyHome. I bought this for my girlfriend mostly but because I am the one who set up the HomeKit appliances (Lights, thermostat etc) it has to go under my home account or I’d have to reset everything under a new home account. Even though both users are set as administrators, it’s my phones messages who Siri will read. 4.) Siri still needs more features, she’s decent at what she can do but I’ve seen better utility with Alexa, and this is coming from an avid Apple user. Outside of those issues. The sound is great and having a voice assistant to set timers and dim the lights is nice. If you have the money it’s a o-k purchase, if you’re just wanting a wireless speaker that can use Siri, well, Siri is still on your phone and there are other very nice Bluetooth speakers out there.

It is excellent. I have had to force reset all the recent HomePods I have purchased by holding down the center until it turns red. To speculate, I wonder if Home/Homekit may be several versions newer than the out of box firmware on the HomePods. Overall, excellent device and Atmos playback when synced as a pair. Can’t beat Apple Security either when running iCloud with a proper configuration.

It’s a good companion to the Apple ecosystem if you’re into keeping everything the same. Just hate that you can’t use it as a regular Bluetooth speaker for other non apple devices. Good sound but don’t expect HEAVY bass.
