I give this item 2 stars because it can't be used with non-Apple devices. So if you had a nice TV and wanted to send the sound to an Apple HomePod mini you can't. Just seems like a cheesy implementation considering all the technology available to make it happen.

This is the 2nd one I bought within the month. The first on was refurbished and didn’t work at all. This new one was brand new. Quit working about 2 weeks in.

I bought the open box product of excellent condition. The touch panel of the homepod mini was not working and was continuously going to self resetting mode. Hence it could not be used. The product was geek squad qualified. Both best buy and geek squad needs to make their tests more comprehensive so that people don’t face such issues. A poor experience.

Owned one when they were first released. Software update now allows them to be paired and used with my Apple TV. Spatial audio beats 5:1 surround. My other audio is now used just for regular TV.

The only strong suit of this product is its sound quality and the convenience of being part of the Apple ecosystem. Other than that, Siri is pretty useless compared to Google and Alexa.

I bought this hoping that Apple would make great improvements over time. Boy was I wrong. Thought it has excellent doubt the only thing that makes it worth owning three of them is that Version offers free Apple Music.

There was a known issue with the speaker so it didn't work and returned it. Ended up exchanging for the Marshall speaker, which has a neat design and very good sound quality.

Love this speaker. I wasn't blown away as much as everyone else claims they have been, but I also haven't put it exactly where I want it yet. However, I love the Apple integration and ecosystem.

Doesn’t work with existing smart bulbs, needs more Compatibility

If you are an apple nut like I am then you need this speaker, run and grab this immediately. You can control almost anything in your house through the Home app. music, lights, thermostats the possibilities are endless. Go apple!

The sound quality is great, but it is NOT compatible with any of the third party music company (ie: Pandora, Spotify, etc.). To maximize the features from the HomePod you have to have Apple Music subscription to have it working through Siri.

The HomePod is a great sounding speaker, but not a very resourceful device in terms of asking questions. It can only tell you answers to the most common questions such as weather. Most time it will say it cannot do something and refers to using Safari to find the answers.

Pretty terrible audio quality, even for a small speaker. Not worth it. Apple still needs to invest in some time with Siri. I ask her why she is so dumb non-stop. She can’t even give me an answer…

Had a little bit of an issue with setup, but may have been user error LOL. It works great! And love the bright orange color too!

Audio lag is a deal breaker as I watch a lot of YouTube. Netflix and Amazon prime video sync well. Battery life is very good. Build quality, comfort and sound are excellent. Would recommend them to a friend with caveat regarding audio lag.

Best sounding speaker, but a known issue prevents Siri from recognizing me. Apple support said there’s nothing they can do and that a future release “might” fix it. If this wasn’t on sale, I wouldn’t have bought it.

Terrible doesn't even support Apple products. I bought this to assist my clients and become more knowledgeable. After 6 months I give up. It doesn't work as a smart speaker with my iPhone -- it keeps cutting off and reverting me to the speaker on my iPhone. I tried to use it with Pandora, but every time a commercial comes on the speaker cuts out and stops playing from my iPad. The only thing it seems to understand is it wants to play either the music I have purchased from Apple or the Apple streaming music - which I finally cancelled because it was way overpriced. I will never purchase this item again.

This item sounds great works great however you can use phone protection with it such as vpn and such location services have to be turned on and I don’t like that.

This is something we use daily in combination with our AppleTV as well as using it as a home device for alarms/timers/music/etc.

Hate hate hate these. Own 4 and they never work properly!? ALEXA is 100 times better. Don’t understand you, can’t connect to much. Just a huge pain. Will be selling all of them
