Sound better than expected. I have a Sonos home and wanted to give these little guys a chance. Ended up buying two when they were on sale for 20% off. I have them paired in stereo and tied to an Apple TV 4K in my office. For they size they do have a decent sound quality but do not compare to a Sonos one. I wanted better sound for my office TV so have these a shot. They were cheaper then a Sonos beam but work great for my requirements. I haven’t figured everything out about them yet. Seems I won’t ever use their full features without have these all over the house. We use Sonos with Alexa all over so most of my smart home devices aren’t HomeKit compatible.

Fantastic sound out of the MINI! Integrates very well with other HomePods and it's the perfect size for a bedroom and other small rooms. Will be buying another 2, one to be used for my office at work. Highly recommend!

To get this out of the way upfront, I am in the Apple ecosystem. I have iPads, iPhones, and MacBook Pros and like the way they work together. In its current form, this is not a product for everyone. I would think it would be practically unusable if you weren’t at least partially in Apple’s ecosystem. If you want the device to stream music from an internet source, you need to have an Apple Music subscription. I don’t, but I have iTunes Match so this device can stream my music from the cloud. Unlike other devices, like my Echo, it doesn’t support Pandora, Spotify, etc at this time. You can use AirPlay and send these sources to your HomePod from your phone, iPad, MacBook, but not without. The sound quality is very good for its size. It is able to fill the room, sounds clear and crisp, with a good overall sound. Some reviews complain about too much bass. I can see this being true, as it does seem to emphasize bass a little bit. I haven’t noticed it to be a problem in the genres I listen to (Country and Classic Rock primarily). As far as a smart speaker, it does a great job of hearing your spoken commands. I think it exceeds the competition here. Siri almost never miss hears me or ignores me. I can’t say the same for Alexa. Siri has gotten a lot better since this was released. There are still some things she ‘can’t do on this HomePod’ but overall is pretty good. I have to take away one star because of one problem. Being in the Apple ecosystem, I wanted to have Siri add things to my grocery list, reminders, send texts, etc, and I get told the iPhone that was used to setup HomePod must be on the same Wi-Fi network much too often when it is sitting right next to me. I do think it is a 4 star product with the other limitations mentioned above because it generally does everything it promises to do very well. If you are unaware of the limitations, you may be disappointed. Another thing to consider is the color. I went with the black because the white was dirty immediately after being taken out of the box.

Fun little smart speaker. Pretty good sound from such a small device. Of course it’s larger sibling sounds much better.

Great small speaker with great sound. Setup was easy to follow on my iPhone. Not in the same league as the ultra high end speaker systems, but they out-preform most comparably priced ones. Great for every day use.

Excellent clean mid and high sound. Never any lag with Apple TV. It’s my 2nd HomePod and it works with other HomePods easily for a surround sound setup.

I bought this after signing up for Apple Music and wanted a compatible speaker. Great sound, very easy to set up (just hold your iPhone up to it), and definitely worth the money.

Perfect speaker for apple/Siri/smart home enthusiasts, great sound quality and even better price. I love the home pods and I love the mini that much more due to its size and still packs a punch with great sound.

This is a great small speaker. The sound is the best I’ve heard from a speaker this size. The speaker is easy to use and setup. The only downside is there is no Bluetooth, you have to have an apple device.

Fantastic sounding speaker to control all your HomeKit products. Be aware that if you buy it open box, Best Buy team does not factory reset it. To be able to utilise it make sure you go through the reset steps or you will be frustrated when it doesn’t work on delivery.

We love our mini HomePod sounds really good we replaced our Alexa for this mini and definitely no regrets love that we can connect it to our phone for sure getting another one or two for upstairs and kitchen

Bought this to run and operate my apple HomeKit. It has made using my Apple TV’s, lights, and my other smart devices very simple. I plan to buy a couple more just to have around the house.

Great sound, great integration with the Apple ecosystem, compact. Basically everything I want in a speaker. I picked it up on sale for $80, which made it a great value in my opinion.

Wow - what a beast this little thing is. I have 4 normal sized HomePods and bought this for the bathroom. I think it could almost keep up with the big ones! Surprising bass from such a little thing too.

I bought the HomePod mini because I am a big Apple fan, and I was excited when I saw that the HomePod mini would bring this kind of device in a more accessible price range. However, the size is more "mini" than I expected - and the sound quality, too (which is somehow understandable, given the small size - physics can not be tricked that much...). But nevertheless, a nice sound device for Apple fans, which works pretty well and sounds correct given the small size. In the meantime, I also bought the "real" HomePod, and the difference is impressive - the big HomePod really sounds "big". The good thing is that both work nicely together, so I would say, if you can spend 300$ and have enough space for the HomePod, buy the big one, and the mini if you need a connected system.

Convenient, great quality and great sound. I was surprised when my son opened it and set it up with his iPhone the sound of the music was excellent. And for it being so small it’s very loud. Glad I got it for him.

Excellent sound for the price. Integrates well with other apple devices, and makes for an inexpensive option to add sound to any room with Apple TV.
