This is another product that I really wanted to love, but didn't. I just don't feel the need to have a smart speaker at my beck and call. To be honest Alexa and Google Assistant are better at that than Siri. I'm a prominent Apple user, but I'm honest. What really hurts this cute little speaker is that it could be amazing, IF Apple allowed the user to determine how it connected, or improve the connectivity. Here is my rant: I have the Mac mini 2020. These don't have a mic and a poor onboard speaker. So, I looked into using this as an extension. You would think that APPLE, would have seen this coming, and made a no-brainer up-sale opportunity. NO. The mic won't sync, and, as an external speaker, the audio delay and anomalous behavior is enough to think that you've time traveled to 15 years ago. Also, because what drives this speaker is AirPlay, it appears to have a mind of its own at times, playing what was left in its queue, vs what you want to play from your device--Assuming it is able to tell which device you want to connect to at the time. Ultimately I just found it to NOT be worth my time nor the money I spent and I returned it. Because my simple JBL Charge 3.0 Bluetooth speaker was far more reliable in terms of responsiveness with less quirky behavior. In my opinion, Apple really dropped the ball on a use-case scenario that they either didn't see coming, or didn't care to capitalize on.

The sound quality is great and it goes pretty loud for its size. It works great for day to day casual listening.

We purchased three of these, have one in a room in its own and a pair synched to each other to provide full stereo sound. We live the way these little speakers sound and enjoy the ability to ask siri to play music either from out itunes library or a radio station from pandora. I would definitely recommend these to anyone who uses apple products.

Replacing my Echo's with these. Sound quality is leaps and bounds better. A lot of its features rely on being in the Apple ecosystem though and it is a little pricey. Still, nice to not have to worry about privacy as much as you would with Amazon. Excellent product.

Apple Perfection- Network Connectivity is outstanding...never a drop. Voice response is also outstanding ... you can speak normally ... don’t have to shout. Great sound for bedrooms, bathrooms and small areas. Stereo pair really shines. The ability to tell it to play music on my Sonos was the real kicker. On a mission to replace all my echo devices...sorry— bye-bye Alexa

I bought two of this to use in stereo pair connected to my Apple TV 4K. And it works awesome. Of course, they don't provide the same level of bass as dedicated subwoofer but I'm not the one who likes too much bass. I value crystal clear voices more. And 2 HomePods mini work perfect for me. Much better than built-in TV speakers anyway. Plus, I can use them as regular smart speakers as well. Set up was super easy as well

Best mini speaker I've used. All my Alexa devices manage to annoy me in some way, with random LED flashes or something to urge me to buy something. HomePod's just work. Although Siri needs some work and they aint't cheap.

Very very nice. Very compact and looks great. Delivers 360 sound unlike Sonos and Google Max which are the only speakers that can come close to the sound quality. It picks up Hey Siri very well. I am 100% entrenched in the Apple ecosystem so I have Apple Music, etc... I do wish you could adjust the sound settings. The bass can be a little heavy at times. Overall very nice speaker.

I purchased HomePod Mini as a hub for Apple HomeKit, but it has become so much more than that. The sound quality is amazing for the size, the integration with my Apple products is great, and it makes my day go by much smoother. The voice recognition is great, too. Apple Music knows wether to play my playlists or my wife’s, which phone to add notes and events to, and who’s asking to make phone calls. Highly recommended addition to your HomeKit enabled smart home.

Sounds so good. Even for the mini!!!! I love home pods and that I can use with HomeKit and my philips hue home.

These mini home pods are great, especially if you're trying to play music in multiple locations. They do really well and have great sound. I wouldn't trade them for google or echo products, as I had many problems with those if you're doing a comparison. Spend the extra $$ on the Apple product. Only downside is you can't connect to them with an android device, but why would you? Apple is way better anyway.

Nice and beautiful apple always never fail what they make everytime i buy a different type of apple products it’s always better then expected this speaker maybe MINI... but trust me put it at 100 it will be as loud as a TV. Can make a whole room very very noisy with music or you can just chill at night and listen to your ebooks or something like that design A plus.... quality A+ it was hard to get it in white as they were SOLD OUT since its kind of new product still.

Great sound for its size. I have 4 of these at home. My only gripe is the interface’s response. When I try to reset or set it up, it usually takes several tries. My internet connection may certainly play into its responsiveness, so I don’t want to rate it low. But..I still think resetting it shouldn’t be as annoying as it is.

HomePod is a good speaker close to great for the price. Bose is a better speaker but you will pay more. The HomePod works as a hub to turn your home into a smart home. Connect to other apple products (iPhone, iPad,etc) plus non apple items that can connect via HomeKit. (Thermostat, lights, plugs). Multiple pods in the house can give you music & weather in every room or be paired together for stereo sound for tv. Make sure you have good internet or invest in a mesh Wi-Fi system. Overall a reasonable price, great little item from Apple.
