It was purchased because of size, cost, and location that it was going to be use in. Although it does not have the sound that the HomePod has, it is still very good for the room it is being use in. Because of the size, I am able to easily move it to different locations.

Little but packs punch

I have two of these, the larger one and then this one. I love them both, I definitely think there could be upgrades that Apple can do. I love how now you can see the humidity and temperature in your room.

Don't recommend linking the two up and setting up as a sound bar which I tried. It won't default to the speakers even when on apple TV. If used as a just for music I recommend.

I really wish Apple still gave customers the option to purchase the original larger speaker as the sound is far superior. Just glad I bought two of the old-style HomePod's before they discontinued them.
