It produces very good sound and better than I would have expected for it's size. I would have given it 5 stars except for the stereo pairing issues. The process is fairly straight forward but the results where not consistent. Got help from apple but it didn't stay fixed. I've now updated the laptop to macOS 11.3 and my iPhone to 14.5 and it seems to be working stable now. BTW they just came out.

Plug and play. Bought this for my elderly mother. Its so simple to use! Love the fact that you can just bring your phone near it and it connects! Cant wait to see the other features in action.

I would use my $400 gift card to buy 4 more of these.

The HomePod was pricey at $350, but is a great bargain at $250. I bought it because the sound is awesome–lightyears ahead of other smart speakers. It streams Apple Music, web radio, and even your local stations. It has a reputation for not being as "smart" as Alexa or others, but that changing. And they are great integrated features that I didn't realize, like making speaker phone calls. The setup couldn't be easier. If you have an iPhone or iPad, you put them close, confirm you want to set up HomePod, and that's it!. It automatically configures it for your network settings, Apple ID, iTunes subscriptions, everything. And, if you're looking to add other smart-home devices, it can serve as your base station to connect and control your lights, doorbells, temp settings, whatever. I definitely got more than I bargained for.

Good product for those using HomeKit and Siri. Useful to add Siri capabilities to remote areas of the home, and thread is the wave of the future in smart homes. As a speaker it is probably as good as if not better then comparably priced smart speakers, however the sounds pales in comparison to original HomePod. Not really a fair comparison. I wish Apple hadn’t discontinued the original HomePods.

Set-up for multiple devices wasn't simple. Quality sound and great volume for the price.

I think this is the best smart speaker. You can get over all of them because it’s an Apple product and if you have an Apple phone, it will work with your phone and there are many amazing features because of that I highly recommend this for anyone looking to upgrade their home with a smart speaker.

Sound quality for size is incredible and makes a good affordable Apple Hub for smart home devices to be able to setup automation. It was probably one of the most difficult apple devices to get integrated into the ecosystem though had to reset and try setting up multiple times before it finally worked properly. That is probably my only gripe in comparison to how easy most apple devices are to setup.

Sound quality was better than I expected. And firmware updates over the last couple of years have solve small issues I've had. Like when Siri voice was not loud enough, even after setting up as such. Also, if you're putting together a robust, thread smart home setup with Apple's HomeKit, I think its essential to have 1 or 2 of these around the house.

Love it. Great sound and pairs easily with my other Apple Home Pods. Great design and looks good next to my bed. Blends in.

I grabbed two of these on sale, but only used one initially, primarily for music. To that end, it banged, great sound. I only recently paired the second one with the first recently, but, no surprise, bangs even nicer in stereo. The limitations to connecting non-apple products is a major drawback, but I use mostly apple products, so limits the negative for me.

The speaker sounds great. Love the fact I can link a few together throughout the house for full house music

i had some errors while setting it up but I think that was due to me buying it open box and someone had set it up prior. But other than that, I'm in love and enjoying discovering the new things it can do. I bought 2 and I love when I play music on both at the same time.

Love this! Purchased and have used it daily since. Great for playing music around the house. Great sound quality! Love being able to play music and adjust volume with voice commands.

Don’t let the size fool you! There is nothing “tinny” or “cheap” about these little speakers! They really ARE excellent! However, Imgave them only a 4-star rating because there is a slight “learning curve in setting them up which is surprising for an Apple product and their “Home App” needs some serious work!

This speaker is awesome as a bedside speaker. I use it to set alarms to wake up and sometimes to call family when I am relaxed in my room. Sometimes it doesn't pick up the phone calls that I try to transfer, but I'm sure that it can be ironed out with a software update.

love Apple products. the mini has great sound, we use it on our patio by the pool and it sounds fantastic.

A great companion mini speaker for the kitchen. It syncs well with previously purchased full-size HomePods and is easy to control from Apple devices. The mini sounds great with multiple genres and for background music. It also sounds good at higher volumes but doesn’t have as much bass the regular HomePods.

A humble little device that's made a big difference to our enjoyment of music and our everyday lives. Asking for NPR, or the weather forecast, or some bossa nova, or a song I remember a few lyrics from; it's all just a "hey, Siri" away. A great Valentine's Day gift!
