I want sure how well it would work for surround sound for my Apple TV and with my other HomePod mini but it works so amazing

I'm trying to replace my Alexa devices with these. It's not as compatible with smart home devices. But I've managed to cobble together a solution so that the HomePod can control our SmartThings lights. I'll try controlling Harmony Hub and Xbox next. The sound quality is pretty good for the price and size.

As a smart speaker it's slightly underwhelming. the best advantage to the homepod is that it adds room-aware functionality to homekit commands - that is, 'turn off the lights' will work to turn off the room that homepod is in, without asking you which room. with a bunch of these around the home, homekit becomes extremely useful without having to be overly descriptive with each command.

Great for music in Living Room or Outdoors-wife loves it!

The Apple HomePod’s two strongest features are the ease of setting it up (just hold your iPhone near it and tell it that you do want to set up the HomePod) and the quality of the sound. I have an expensive surround system in the same room and actually prefer how music sounds on the HomePod. This is probably the cleanest sounding speaker that I have ever heard. I have only set up one Home device (a Wemo outlet switch that controls a light), but that almost set itself up, it was so easy. Works great! Siri is also helpful in finding nearby stores, etc., playing news summaries, and providing other information.

Works as expected and at a super good price. Controls all our smart home stuff. Worth it completely if you use Home Kit.

Great sound. Excellent materials quality and solid construction. The device sometimes disconnects or delays in reconnecting to WiFi resulting in failed or delayed execution of commands. In most cases repeating commands or waiting is required, but on rare occasions a restart is required. AirPlay syncing works great. For me this is two Apple TVs and one HomePod. When I hear what sounds like delay, adjusting the volume of one or more devices and keeping the relative volume the same on all devices resolves it. Keeping a balanced volume on all three devices results in no sense of delay.

We own 6 HomePods and use them as speakers for all of our TVs. They connect seamlessly with our Apple TVs. You can also pair them together to get a more full sound.

I have two full size HomePods. The bass response on them are amazing. However, this can be a problem when working from home. The HomePod mini has good sound albeit without as much bass response and is perfect for a WFM environment

Sound quality for a small bedroom is exceptional, I use the HomePod mini has my hub for HomeKit devices. especially now its updated for temperature and humidity

Huge HomePod mini fan. Have a solo unit in my bedroom. Have a stereo pair for use with my AppleTV 4K. Sounds great, especially for TV/movies as the dialogue beats many sound bars. Music is fun to listen to, as are podcasts.

The sound quality is so good for such a tiny package. The homepod mini easily integrates with your Apple product.

I just love the HomePod speakers. The regular HomePod provides great bass for music. The HomePod doesn’t provided the same amount of bass, but the music quality is still great and so is the quality for podcasts and talk radio.

Love this device. So I got this to use in my dining room/kitchen mainly with my laptop and it works fantastic. The sound is good and solid (not quite full-on homepod sound but still impressive) and it pairs perfectly with my MBA. Great device and for the price, it does a great job creating rich, deep sound.

This is a great quality speaker. I have two HomePod mini and five original HomePods. The original are worth the money and have AMAZING sound quality, but the mini are great for the price and gives me Siri in more places

I love this smart speaker! Switched from the google home mini (1st gen), and wow the sound of this HomePod mini is on another level. Easily sounds fuller with richer bass. This speaker blows away any other smart speaker at this price. Can’t beat it, especially if you are already in the Apple ecosystem.

The only problem I have with this speaker is Siri. Which may seem like a big deal, but for the most part I try not to use her. Siri can do the basics so its not always noticeable but anything beyond that she is very useless.

Not as good as the full size HomePod. The sound is a little thin, and I have had it ignore me twice, so far. (It was playing music, and I couldn't get it to stop) But it's smaller, so I expect the sound to be 'smaller' too. It's not bad, just not as rich as the larger, now discontinued, HomePod.

When you are in the eco system of apple this is the next logical purchase. Sound quality is great and who knows what applications apple will integrate to make it better.
