Remains a standard setting for compact audio fidelity. Great mic pick-up too for voice commands. If/when Siri becomes more functional for advanced tasks, this hardware will be a great combo.

Amazing sound from such a small speaker. I have two connected in a stereo pair and they work great as speakers for my 4k Apple TV. Much better than my previously larger and more expensive soundbar. I really like the minimalistic look.

I got this to serve as the hub for our smart devices and it works great but weve been plesently suprised by other aspects. The sound quality is good given the size of the speaker and the kids are loving to use the intercom feature since its setup in the game room. A solid addition if your already using other Apple products and have a few other smart devices around the house to pair.

I had been considering adding the full sized HomePod to my home and after reading reviews of the HomePod mini figured I'd go for the mini first. So glad I did! For less than $100 you get amazing sound from a small footprint AND functionality that compliments ANY home…ESPECIALLY those that already have  devices in their ecosystem. If you're looking for an incredible device that just works, has amazing sound, and was made to fit perfectly into your  home….gets the HomePod mini!

The Apple HomePod Mini is a bit of a letdown from a company I’ve come to expect greatness from, especially as I’ve consolidated most of my gear into the Apple ecosystem. I had high hopes of using Siri as my go-to voice interface for home control, but this little speaker doesn’t quite deliver. It can be frustratingly slow and unresponsive at times, and too often, answers to my questions require me to pull out my iPhone to see the details—a clunky experience that feels half-baked. That said, it’s not all bad. The sound quality is solid for its size, making it a decent pick for music, and it handles basic home automation tasks—like controlling lights or locks—well enough. But for a company like Apple, “good enough” feels underwhelming. I can’t help but imagine how they could dominate this space with a HomePod that has a screen and some of that Apple Intelligence magic baked in. Maybe it’s coming soon.

Great sound quality and surprisingly it has some good bass to it. Very portable. Easy use. Great loudness too

The only thing that’s keeping this from getting 5 Stars is the lack of “skills” or “apps” that are compatible with the HomePod lineup. The only music app that currently works (somewhat) is Pandora. I still have issues with it playing stations that are on my account and there for have to play them using Airplay. Airplay is a great feature being able to play almost any music or radio app. The downside is you have to keep your phone charging or you are going to drain your battery rather quickly. It would be wonderful if Apple had something like a Sonos style app linked with 100’s of music providers and can stream music directly over the internet I would be happy to give it 5 stars. Where I am most impressed is the Sound quality!!!! It was much better than expected. I imagined slightly better than echo dot, but this thing rivals Bose soundlink mini. Music sounds extremely clear, bass is present just not room shaking. Bass heavy music is not this things strong suit but most music sounds pretty great on this thing. Hope my review helps!

Love these little speakers. I have a Vizio tv that works great but the sound is always too loud or not loud enough depending on what’s playing. I put a pair of these synced in stereo and its perfect. Plus I can tell Siri to pause and start movies if I am feeling lazy and the volume can be controlled with the Apple TV remote or my phone or iPad. This will replace the sound of your tv without an Apple TV.. They also work great with The Home app. I have two in the bedroom that work in conjunction with my HomePod and listing to thunderstorms while I sleep is pretty incredible. This is by no means going to replace your home stereo but they definitely have their place. If you’re an Apple fan and use the Home app to automate your home or workspace you will fall in love fast.

HomePod Mini is a great size. Good sounding speaker. Siri continues to improve, like the ability to differentiate between all family members. Works well with HomeKit. Going to purchase another soon for that surround sound !

The size of the Apple Mini is perfect! The sound quality is amazing, and she responds to commands with ease. I would recommend this device for gifts and other needs. Also, she would be a great companion for a travel destination.

I have been intrigued by this product since released, and frustrated with Apple's pricing practices and desire to be a "top tier" company by only offering high end high price products. This device always seemed a bit overpriced and unnecessary for me as I have a nice sound system connected to my TV, but I wanted something for Home Kit control. I like Apple's focus on encryption and privacy especially with the alway on always listening home controlling devices like this. I have apple Home Kit enabled devices in my house, and wanted a quick way for my pet sitter to turn them on and off when she comes in. I tried the Amazon dot last year, but found it difficult to setup and you need to have the always listening feature on. It also required setting up my already existing already working HomeKit enabled devices in the Alexa app which was hit and miss. I was waiting and hoping that Apple would release a cheaper version of this with less speaker and more control. Then Best Buy had this on holiday sale for 100 dollars off retail price. I figured it was worth a try knowing I had time to return it if it did not work. I set it up in seconds yesterday, and immediately transferred the podcast I was listening to on my phone to the speaker. I often wear headphones around the house and listen to music or podcasts throughout the day. This makes it easy to transfer what I am listening to via my phone airplay button and I can hear it clearly from anywhere in the downstairs. It sounds amazing and is so much easier to use to listen to anything on my phone. Yes you can use it without the Hey Siri feature listening. You can press and hold the center of the top panel which prompts Siri so I can turn off the "always listening" or if it does that annoying digital assistant thing where it mishears something I say that sounds vaguely like "Hey Siri" and becomes disruptive (This has not happened yet). I also like that in the Home app on my iPhone I can turn off the Home pod analytics which will not share my always on always listening recordings with Apple or anyone else. I wish the $200 price was not a promotion, but the retail price. After 1.5 days it has proven its worth and made me realize something I was overtly critical of and uninterested in is as good as I was sure it was not. I like being proven wrong. I am not sure I would pay $300 for it at full price, but if it keeps impressing me like this I might eat those words as well.

Surprisingly great sound. I now have several of these that I used to replace Echo devices and the sound is better. Siri is responsive and I like that these have Thread built in. I also like the intercom feature.

I love this Apple pod, it is very loud and it is a great traveling size speaker. Great for parties, and it is very easy to use and connects to your phone. It is very loud too for a small speaker it works great with Siri.

This is a great smart speaker, and does even better in pairs with an Apple TV. You get great stereo from by your head rather than coming from the TV on the other side of the room, and you can even just tell Siri to skip the ads! My only complaint is that the power cable is neither removable or repairable, so if your pet rabbit happens to get close and chews through it, you have a dead product!

$100 well spent! I have two HomePods in my room, but for Christmas we got our Daughter the HomePod Mini and she couldn't be happier! Even me.. I'm amazed by it!! My HomePods are HUGE, they're totally awesome, but they're HUGE. Hers is so tiny I can't even get it and the sound quality is AMAZING! Plus, we can airplay the two HomePods with the HomePod Mini to all play together for an actual houseparty!! We have a smart house too, so she can control the lights and whatnot.. even intercom us now. The intercom alone for most parents will be appreciated over the normal "MOOOM!" or "DAAAAD!" which is great.

Amazing sound from such a small device. I bought this as we were starting to get into the smart home stuff and being we mostly have apple devices it was easy to setup and get going. Just dont change your wifi router after install as it can be nearly impossible for it to work the same. It could be the new router or something else but it did not want to connect and still sometimes acts out. I have bought 2 so far and may buy another one to have full home coverage. It also works as a great speaker for watching content from your Apple TV. The only real down point is that this speaker is not bluetooth and will only work with Apple devices as far as i've found.

These little speakers are fantastic I have six of them you can hook them up to Apple TV and get surround sound easy to activate and pair up love them

This speaker is the size of an orange but it sounds AMAZING. The bass is great, and the vocal is clear without distortion even at high volume. When there's a deal on this I'm getting another to set up a stereo pairing.
