Sadly Apple has discontinued this. With cheap "smart speakers" flooded in the market, it's no wonder that the $300 HomePod is not as popular as expected. But indeed, it has very-good to excellent sound quality, much better than those cheap "smart speakers". It should be compared with speakers from Sonos (if considering Wireless/Airplay), or with mid-to-low-end HiFi speakers that start from more than $300 but lacks wireless capability (and convenience, e.g. Apple Music integrations). Hope there will be replacement soon with better sound quality than current HomePod Mini.

This is one of the best speakers that I ever used. Everything on the floor to stay inside the Apple ecosystem. Super heavy bass need it has clear highs and lows.

Hey there, I'm really into my apple HomePod. I've had it for about three weeks or and wish I had more than just one. I use an AppleTV, an iPad, and an iPhone XR and happily pass tunes across devices. As good as the HomePod sounds, having Apple Music is a must, or it's just sort of an inconvenient blue tooth speaker. Being able to talk to Siri and have music play based on your mood is a significant bonus as opposed to having to control some other service through airplay. Overall I give it four stars for the UX, sound quality, and overall satisfaction and enjoyment it has brought to my life. It loses a star for the total cost of the unit for the realization that you will have an apple music subscription in perpetuity. I'm still into in and currently write this review listening to some awesome music I would of not of had without this purchase.

This is one of the best sounding speakers around that will give you the clarity and bass many desire in such a small package. As Apple improves Siri, the HomePod will even be unmatched.

I like this product so much I bought four. Its integration with Apple Music and Siri is really good. Have Siri play playlists, play any song or artist, ask when a song was released, etc... It's even better when you pair two of them in stereo. There is an issue using the speaker as an Airplay speaker from a Mac or PC. For some reason, the speaker just stops playing. From an iOS device it is fine, the problem is only when used from a Mac/PC iTunes or Music app. I'm sure it's a software problem that will eventually be fixed. But if you use it primarily to play from Apple Music directly you won't be disappointed.

Love it! I also have whole home surround sound in the ceiling and I prefer this sound better. Going to get another one too!! Great sound and Siri is a huge plus!! We use it as a hub for a smart house!

Sounds so good. I love the look and my music sounds so good. Doesn’t matter if I’m playing hip-hop country or rock. This thing is awesome

The HomePod advertises it self as a music speaker first before a smart speaker. This is 100% true. Siri is not as versatile on the HomePod as it is on your phone. That aside the sound is fantastic. The speaker adapts to its room and position as well. Unexpectedly, it has become my kitchen timer! She can hold up 4 alarms and it’s easy to shout “hey Siri add a 15 min timer for salmon” To clarify you actually do not need to shout, the mics are hyper sensitive. She can here me from around the corner. The downside is her connection issues. She constantly drops my connection or is choppy. Update to HomePod has not helped much. It also does not integrate well with any non apple service. So you can play Spotify and Soundclound but you can not start those apps with voice control. For $200 it’s a fantastic wireless speaker. But it’s not perfect.

We wanted to get another smart device to play music, with easy control from the iPhone (that means, not with Sonos). When this went on sale, we immediately grabbed one unit, no question! We already have two Google Home (Mini and Hub), and Amazon Echo (Dot and Spot). We love playing music with HomePod through Airplay because its sound quality surpasses that of Google and Amazon smart devices. Siri also catches your voice command much better than Google and Alexa, even when we are standing farther away. Get it, you won't be disappointed.

If you use iOS, tvOS, Apple Music and HomeKit, adding a HomePod is a great way to tie it all together. Airplay 2 is still a great system even for Spotify users, it as of now, don’t expect Siri to help you with non-Apple services. It has a very full sound, and an easy setup.

The sound and bass is room filling. Wish Apple still made this HomePod. Although the newer and smaller ones are also excellent.

I never thought I would ever buy a HomePod especially as I rarely listen to music at home. However, being stuck at home and using my Apple TV more and more, I ordered one. I don't regret the purchase one bit as the sound is absolutely fantastic. I don't have the room for a dedicated surround sound system and while people complain about the price, it's less expensive than a higher end sound bar. I've even considered getting another one to see what the difference is with two paired together. I was really disappointed to hear that Apple decided to discontinue it.

I already own 1 Apple HomePod for months and have been looking for good opportunity to get the second unit. I saw this >30% discount from Best Buy and bought without hesitation. No regret. Apple HomePod running in stereo mode is really a different level of enjoyment. The sound quality is wonderful. Handoff feature is "magical" especially how HomePod also support radio stations from TuneIn and others. Only 1 less satisfactory point is the connection between HomePod drops once a while and reconnected after few seconds.

Its a really loud speaker with some amazing base. For the size and weight this speaker packs a real good amount of hardware that makes this speaker sound amazing.

Absolutely love my HomePod. Had an Echo before that I almost never used. Syncs perfectly with my Apple Music library and one HomePod in the living room is enough to fill my entire two bedroom flat with music.

I was a little skeptical at first, but glad I made the decision to go ahead and purchase. It was a great addition to the apple products I already have. Nice amount of bass and sound for a small area. Will possible purchase another for another area in my home.

I LOVE MY HOMEPOD! I use it everyday to listen to music, text, call, and even turn on my smart devices. Ut’s very quick and efficient.

Awesome is all I can say. Great sound and love the HomeKit integration. The bass is amazing. I bought another one for pairing and use them as my sound bar.

This thing is sweet. It sounds so awesome my roommates have asked me if i “heard the neighbors throwing a party” at noon because of how much bass the thing has. 10/10 recommend

This smart speaker has amazing sound quality and is designed beautifully. Looks great in any room. The additional features added since launch continue to improve the overall function of the speaker.
