Honestly I expected more (that’s what she said). It’s basically a $99 Alexa echo but without all of the connectivity to third party devices. You have to use Apple approved smart plugs and smart bulbs unlike other Amazon. In order to use it with the Apple 4K TV you have to manually switch EVERY TIME YOU TURN ON THE TV because Apple won’t let you set it as the default audio output. Also, it doesn’t support Dolly Atmos unlike its $200-$300 HomePod bigger sibling. In order to make a stereo pair you have to buy 2 HomePod Minis but at that price you could just buy one HomePod and get the added bonus of the HomePod’s ability to adjust sound to fit your room, another option that Apple opted to take away from the HomePod Mini. NOW THE SOUND QUALITY IS GREAT! The sound is full and clear. I even paired this with a Bose SoundTouch 10 and I found them to be very similar. Equal parts high end clarity, mid range warmth, and low end thump. If you’re wanting to have great sound in multiple rooms throughout your house, then this is a great option. If you’re wanting to add this to your Apple 4K TV for a serious cinema experience, just save your money and buy the original HomePod.

Got the HomePod mini on sale at a great price. I set it up in my small office and it sounds fantastic for a small speaker. It isn't portable so it stays on my desk and it won't go anywhere...my portables are always borrowed and nowhere to be found, but this one plugs in.

Aside from Apple still not having any integrated configuration for apps such as Spotify and YouTube, I am in love with the HomePod mini. I honestly wish that I would’ve bought 2 of them. Their small which makes them a lot easier to manage when it comes to limited space but they still produce hefty sound quality. I don’t think I’ve raised the volume level on mine past 45% but maybe twice.

Great sound from such a small device. Podcasts aren't great to listen to on this though because it they seem a bit bass(y), probably due to how apple distorts the sound to give the illusion it puts out more bass than it can for such a small speaker.

I love my HomePod mini. I have had it for about 3 weeks. It is very easy to set up. It plays any music that I have on my iPhone-Apple music, Pandora and Sirius. It is easy to hand off the music from my phone to the HomePod (just hold the phone near it). And, the music sounds great. I had also set up an Amazon Echo Dot (the mini version). The HomePod has much better music quality.

I use the iPad mini as part of a Smart Home system. It is really worth the money and the time it takes to set it up! It’s great to be able to create patterns such as having your doors lock at a certain time of night or having the lights come on outside just before you get home or even being able to have your doors locked and unlock When a contractor comes to the house or when you get home! This little device also works as a great speaker with wonderful quality

The HomePod mini is easy to use, and has great sound. It works great with other Apple devices. It’s great device for the price.

We have multiple Mini Home pods in different rooms. Two create stereo sound. Works great with an Apple TV when you have two mini home pods as a sound bar alternative

Great sound. The reason I give it a 3 star is that to have this speaker play you have to connect via home kit. It takes over when you say Hay Siri. It was like trying to find needle in a haystack trying find the setting to turn off Siri on the HomePod.

Have several of these around the house. Great sound in a small package and at a reasonable price. Like the new colors, especially the blue. I'm finding integration with some of the Apple ecosphere could use a bit of work as there is the occasional glitch, but things usually sort themselves out with a quick reboot. Would definitely recommend.

Love at first I was going to take it back because I didn’t know how to connect my devices it’s a hassle trying to reconnect it as well and it’s not as easy as my other Apple devices to connect so I was a little hesitant, but once I got it to connect baby it does just what I need it to do I love this and it’s not big and bulky and fits right on my nightstand for easy use

Bought one for my kids room after I have the 1st generation HomePod for my kitchen. It's easy to install and work well with our smart home that runs on Apple. The sound for this speaker is good for such a little speaker. After heating its bigger brother in my kitchen I realized I needed to quickly lower my expectations. Nonetheless this was worth the purchase.

Thank you for a wonderful buying and listening experience. The Bluetooth speaker are a wonder and ease in setting up. I am enjoying the quality and ease of listening to these new speaker. Off the bat, couldn’t get it to work after reading and watching instructions. It was such a simple setting I had to turn on and that moment on, pure joy. As loud as you’ll need for an indoor speaker and great quality audio at minimal volume as well.

As with everything Apple, this speaker is awesome. Extremely simple to use. The only controls are on the top of the speaker which is basically tapping it to talk to Siri (you can always just say “Hey Siri”) and there is a + and - to manually control volume. The speaker sounds incredible, rivaling other high end speakers I have. Speakers and microphones are all the way around the speaker, so it literally is 360° sound and listening. All of this is covered in a really cool rubber feeling mesh which gives the HomePod a Modern, non-obtrusive look. Setup is ridiculously simple using the Home app. It works with any HomeKit compatible accessory and others that can be configured with the Apple Shortcuts app. I have been using one and just purchased a second one for another area of the home. Using Airplay2 you can link these for stereo effect and multi room music, which I have not done yet.

Used primarily as a HomeKit hub. I was skeptical at first if I’d use any other features but it’s turned into a daily driver (music streaming, etc). I’m planning on getting more for the house.
