I bought this to use as a speaker for my Mac mini, and boy is it terrible. It uses apple airplay and goes off Wi-Fi. Nothing but connectivity issues going in and out and just straight up disconnecting. Doesn’t allow Bluetooth cause why not right? Good job apple, another joke of a product. Well done.

The HomeKit ecosystem is still behind the curve. But this speaker is a very good speaker that works to make your HomeKit equipped home more usable.

Enjoying this item though glad it was on sale when I bought it as it is not inexpensive!

I love this speaker I love the audio quality. its not so smart great for music and basic things.

I like the sound quality. However, you should have a slightly more open system, allowing you to be compatible with more streaming devices and services.

The sound is amazing, so well rounded highs, mids, and the bass. Super easy to setup. Looks great, sounds great, but the software functions need to be seriously improved.

Do yourself a favor and just get a high quality bluetooth speaker for less. I know the Apple fans will scoff, but the reality is that the Homepod is a big waste of money at this point. Siri is non-functional 25% of the time, even simple commands such as "Hey Siri, stop the timer" must be repeated 3-4 times. Since the latest round of updates they don't find my apple music library and everything must be played manually from my iPhone or iPad. This is something I can do with a standard bluetooth speaker that will likely have better audio quality and cost less. We have 7 Homepods. (1 original and 6 mini). We have gigabit internet with great signal through our house - yes I have analyzed our wifi strength with a wifi analyzer. It's frustrating because we like the fringe benefits such as starting timers in the kitchen or telling knock knock jokes with the kids is actually and Apple just seems to ignore the multitude of complaints

The sound is excellent in this music player. Still learning what else can be done with it but pleased so far.

It is hands down of the best speakers I have bought. Although it is a wired speaker. It has the best surround sound and bumps really good.

I usually pair my speakers but found the sound, especially in smaller rooms is great by itself.

Siri works well. Great sound quality works well with apple tv, iphone and all other apple products. A must get item!
