I actually tried to avoid reviewing this product..
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I tried to not give a review of this product since I am a real Apple fan and one that I could not say much that is positive but after several email messages, decided to go ahead. Firstly, I am over 60 and have been a musician since the age of eleven when I got my first guitar for Christmas. Many years later, I clearly understand that while the rhythm and bass are a wonderful, primal energy laying a solid foundation for the exploration of music, the true musicality of most well composed songs/pieces lies resolutely within the upper mid to lower high frequencies. This range is where music rises up and soars! Unfortunately, this otherwise superb speaker is so bass/boom heavy that musicality is inexorably lost. Since Apple has seen fit to give us no ability to adjust the speakers balance I find the experience of listening to music through it, (whether rock, pop, jazz, ambient, or classical), most often ranges from unpleasant to downright annoying. For me, the purchase of this device was a very disappointing and expensive mistake.
