I bought one for my wife directly from Apple as a Christmas gift since she's heavily invested in the Apple ecosystem. She has a Mac, 3 iPads, an iPhone, and 2 iPods. She was very pleased with the functionality and sound of the HomePod mini, and its integration with other Apple devices. So I bought her another one today at Best Buy for a stereo effect. While they're no match for my 6-speaker system in the family room or my basement mega system, soundwise, I found the quality to be very good for speakers of their size. No buyer's remorse here, folks! Yes, Siri can be kind of ditzy at times, and it would have been great(!) if they supported Dolby Atmos. But it's rare to find any Apple product at this price point, so I'm happy for what they do.

We already had two HomePods in our home, but we decided to get a HomePod mini, as well. The overall value is excellent. While it may not have the exact same audio quality as the full sized HomePod (especially in bass tones -- we're sound/audio nerds!), the mini sounds far better than many of the similar sized "smart speakers" out there from other makers. If you own another Apple product, but haven't bought a HomePod, getting a mini would be a great introduction. The additional features beyond just playing music are very helpful, and Apple seems to be continuing to improve on them. Being able to set a quick timer, or a reminder (it recognizes who is speaking and ads to the correct person's reminders), or ask a question are all great to have handy.

I have tried all different options and apple proves to be the beat option for me. Its non evasive , seemingly most secure device plays music, answers questions and controls devices without ads or other nonsense interruptions. The sound is amazing from a small device.

We bought 2 of these for my mom and mother in law. If they ever have an accident such as a fall for example. “Hey Siri call “so and so”” we placed it in the center of their homes and had them try it from any corner of the house and it picked up their voice. Granted they live in 1100 sq ft homes but I know they have that safety there. It’s a good sounding speaker. Of course it won’t match a Bose but what it does is great. Excellent cooking companion with timers and measurement conversions. Great to play your favorite songs or playlist. I no longer carry my phone with me all over the house since I have 2 at my own home.

I have been a lover of Apple products for years. This is another amazing product by Apple. The speaker has awesome sound and packs a huge punch for it's small size. It connects to any other Apple product with ease.

Very good sound for background music, just don’t expect movie theater volume and clarity. Plays loud and clear for its size. I have a pair set up as stereo in my bedroom. The upper bass is a little to emphasized and the treble falls off a little more than I like but overall I am impressed.

Great sound for a mini speaker! Works well with my other home items, like telling Siri to turn on/off the lights or the A/C

These integrate into the Apple Home environment pretty easily and it is nice to be aboe to put rhem in different rooms. I wish they were a bit bassier but they sound good for their size.

Sound is great for a little device. Love the ability to pair with my iTunes! Siri isn't quiet as intelligent as Alexa though ;)

Overall this was good. The sound was pretty good as well enough to fill a small room. However there were a few things I couldn’t get used to, like not being able to say “hey Siri play this specific playlist on Spotify”. These don’t automatically connect to Spotify nor your playlists. So if you’re a Spotify user I would not recommend. However if you’re an ALL APPLE USER by all means go ahead a purchase. I personally prefer Alexa as it is more flexible to third party apps and this is NOT.

I love it. The only negative I have for it is, some commands you have to use your phone for. But I’m sure Apple will come out with an update to fix this concern. Positive thing, the speaker is good quality sound and Siri is so much better then the phone.

If you're like me and stuck in the Apple ecosystem, you might as well pick up a couple of HomePod Minis. We use two of them as speakers for our Apple TV, and plan to add more as an intercom system in our house.

To get this out of the way upfront, I am in the Apple ecosystem. I have iPads, iPhones, and MacBook Pros and like the way they work together. In its current form, this is not a product for everyone. I would think it would be practically unusable if you weren’t at least partially in Apple’s ecosystem. If you want the device to stream music from an internet source, you need to have an Apple Music subscription. I don’t, but I have iTunes Match so this device can stream my music from the cloud. Unlike other devices, like my Echo, it doesn’t support Pandora, Spotify, etc at this time. You can use AirPlay and send these sources to your HomePod from your phone, iPad, MacBook, but not without. The sound quality is very good for its size. It is able to fill the room, sounds clear and crisp, with a good overall sound. Some reviews complain about too much bass. I can see this being true, as it does seem to emphasize bass a little bit. I haven’t noticed it to be a problem in the genres I listen to (Country and Classic Rock primarily). As far as a smart speaker, it does a great job of hearing your spoken commands. I think it exceeds the competition here. Siri almost never miss hears me or ignores me. I can’t say the same for Alexa. Siri has gotten a lot better since this was released. There are still some things she ‘can’t do on this HomePod’ but overall is pretty good. I have to take away one star because of one problem. Being in the Apple ecosystem, I wanted to have Siri add things to my grocery list, reminders, send texts, etc, and I get told the iPhone that was used to setup HomePod must be on the same Wi-Fi network much too often when it is sitting right next to me. I do think it is a 4 star product with the other limitations mentioned above because it generally does everything it promises to do very well. If you are unaware of the limitations, you may be disappointed. Another thing to consider is the color. I went with the black because the white was dirty immediately after being taken out of the box.

A rather pretty mini. I gave it as a gift to my son and he is well pleased. It has good sound quality and easy to use since it connects so easily to the other apple devices. He enjoys playing his songs through it.

Easy setup. Great Audio Quality. Quick reponses. Plus since its a hub it makes home automations a breeze
