I have every echo & now the home pod mini. I personally only got this because I now use Apple Music. What I do not like that many may not even care about is that I have so much music that is NOT on Apple music but in my itunes and or on my phone. The only way to hear it is to blue tooth. I hate that but do understand about copyrights. The other thing is that unless my phone is on the same wifi, I can't control it from my phone. That to me is a pain. Hopefully they will change that issue. This has good sound & listens well.

For such a small speaker it’s pretty good ... it’s not a pair of PureAudioProject Quintet 15’s, but sound is good and it ramps up smoothly. Siri does what it’s supposed to do - it’s an assistant, not a know it all. Pairing it to an AppleTV in the basement to supplement the crappy speakers of my 6 year old Vizio TV is why I bought it. Music and dialog are above average, and being able to place it close to a couch keeps volume to a minimum in the mornings not to wake everyone up. Should have bought 2 for a stereo pair.

Works perfectly for Apple home kit as a hub. This had an easy set up and works flawlessly.

Being a subscriber to Apple Music, this unit is convenient to have in the home and ask Siri to play just about any song at any time. On the minus side, this unit by no means has the sound quality that the original larger HomePod has. We own one of those as well. The feature where you hold your iPhone to the HomePod, and the HomePod automatically links with the iPhone does not always work. For the money, this is a good value if you are an Apple Music subscriber. Although, I would gladly pay the extra money to be able to buy the original HomePod with its superior sound.

I got the refurbished HomePod mini to set up voice command for my Ecobee smart thermostats. It works great and now I’m tempted to get more for entire house. Because I bought this refurbished, I initially had to reset it to factory setting and everything was smooth sailing after that.

They sound great. Get a pair. Work really well with iPhone, iPad, iHome and with a Mac. Easy to set up and easy to use.

Love the HomePod. Great way for my kids to listen to music and add intercom to the house.

Sound quality is absolutely spectacular for something so small. It seamlessly connects to my Apple TV, iPad, iPhone and MacBook.

Really good speaker in a small form factor. As a bonus it’s also a home hub for smart accessories like a thermostat. Also can be set as default speakers for Apple TV’s.

The sound is awesome and it is a good price. I give it 3 stars because I bought it to use at work and my work Wi-Fi is protected of course and it won’t allow peer to peer connection, so I can’t use my HomePod mini there. I have Bluetooth speakers that work just fine in that environment but don’t sound nearly as good. So if you want to use these speakers in a protected work environment don’t buy them, the hassle of trying to get your IT department to authorize the MAC address just for you to listen to tunes is not very high on their todo list.

I have enjoyed my Apple HomePod mini speakers for quite some time now. The installation is quite simple, and the compatibility with my iPhone is adequate, as well it should be. The sound quality is superb. Though the size might not be ideal as a stand-alone home theater accessory, the seamless integration of this item with my streaming devices allows me to listen to music played through it and my Bose home theater speakers. A win-win situation for everyone!
