This is a great choice, especially if you're already in the Apple ecosystem. Though having a very good experience with two previous iMacs, I had intended to get the new M4 Mac Mini but I ran into a roadblock trying to choose a monitor. Macs are optimized for hi-res (5K) and don't scale perfectly to 4K. They work well enough, but when you're used to the image quality (especially with text) of the Retina display, it's hard to downgrade. Unfortunately, 5K monitors are few and the good ones cost as much as this iMac does, so I went with this iMac and I'm glad I did. Sharp & bright display, very fast processor, nice speakers, and great webcam. Knock on wood... Apple hardware reliability is top-notch. I added an external drive to economically increase storage.

I have been using a PC forever. I never had any desire to own a Mac. Then, when my PC developed an issue, I decided to switch since I had an iPhone and iPad. I knew there would be a learning curve (and there is) but overall, it was a good decision. The iMac is fast and efficient. It can do all my PC was able to do and some tasks are easier. I attended a free class at the Apple store and that helped quite a bit. I am still learning, but I feel I made a good decision to switch. I like having all of my devices linked. I am very happy with this product.
